Birthday Gift Card Holder | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back to the blog! Sharing a project today to jump into summer, cause I am 100% over the cold temperatures here in the NW. I used an older Newton’s Nook Designs‘ stamp set, Summer Scoops to create a fun gift card holder.

To create this gift card holder, I started by stamping some of the images from the Summer Scoops stamp set with copic friendly black ink, and coloring it with copic markers. Once colored, I cut out the images using the coordinating die set.

I stamped and embossed a sentiment with white embossing powder on to black cardstock, once heat set I fussy cut it. I layered the images onto a vellum rectangle to ensure that it doesn’t blend into the pattern paper and added the sentiment on top of it.

I finished of the card by die cutting the gift card holder from sheets of the Springtime Paper Pad (use can also use an SVG file for this part) and added the ice cream die cuts, along with some sequins to finish of the project.

Newton’s Nook Designs April Release – Day 4 – Newton Loves Tacos + coordinating Dies | Newton’s Nook Designs

Welcome back for last day of April reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs, we have been sharing a ton of fun inspiration using the new release that goes live tonight! Today we are showcasing the Newton Loves Tacos stamp set along with the Coordinating Dies. Florals are always my favorite, but this stamp set is hilarious and I cannot wait to use it again!

To create this card, I started by stamping one of the images from the Newton Loves Tacos stamp set, coloring it with copic markers, and cutting it out with the coordinating die. Next I created the background for the card using the Birthday Roundabout stamp set embossed in white and ink blended over with rainbow colors. I buffed it to let the white pop through and die cut it with one of the scallop frames from the Circle Frames Die Set.

I wanted to add a little interest to the card front, so I embossed it with the Bokeh Stencil Set, and finished off with a sentiment stamped on a banner die cut from the Banner Trio Die Set.

Newton’s Nook Designs April Release – Day 3 – Dad’s BBQ + coordinating Dies | Newton’s Nook Designs

Welcome back for day 3 of April reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs, we have been sharing a ton of fun inspiration using the new release that goes live tomorrow! Today we are showcasing the Dad’s BBQ stamp set along with the Coordinating Dies.

Y’all know that I couldn’t let a sneak peaks go by without making a rainbow themed card! I love how versatile this stamp set it so create all kinds of masculine cards!

To create this card I started with an 5 x 5 stitched square die cut, and masked it with washi tape, and inked it up to create the rainbow squares.

Next I stamped and colored all the images from the Dad’s BBQ stamp set, colored them with copic markers and coordinating dies. After stamping a sentiment from the same stamp set on to the top half of the card, I scattered and adhered all the die cuts to the card front and finished off with some jewels.

Newton’s Nook Designs April Release – Day 2 – Destination Love and Lilacs + coordinating Dies | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back for my favorite day of April reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs, I am so excited about today’s products! Today we are showcasing the Destination Love and Lilacs stamp set along with their Coordinating Dies.

Today’s stamps are my favorite from this release! They are perfect for my card making style!

For my first card I used the Destination Love stamp set to make a CAS card, very different from the busy card I shared yesterday. To create this card I started by stamping the main car image from the along with the a few of the smaller images, and colored them using copic markers. Once colored, I die cut them using the coordinating dies.

I wanted to add a little dimension to the back of the card, so I embossed the card front using the Petite Hearts Stencil, and I stamped and embossed a sentiment on to a vellum heart cut using one of the dies from Heart Frames Die Set. And finished off with clay heart confetti.

For my second card, I stamped the bunch of lilacs from the Lilacs stamp set and embossed it with gold embossing powder onto watercolor paper. I used watercolors to do a quick messy look, and dried it with a heat gun, and die cut it using the coordinating die.

To finished off the card I splattered black paint onto some blue card stock (let it dry and don’t be impatient like me! I added a cover die cut in Kraft card stock, added the lilac die cut along with a sentiment stamped and embossed on a stitched circle die cut. As always added some jewels to finish off the card.

Would you like to win the “Destination Love” or the “Lilac” Stamp Set? We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

Happy Monday! Welcome back to the first day of April reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and after an exhausting week of spring break, I am so excited to be here sharing a whole bunch of fun products! Today we are showcasing the Cycling Friends  stamp set along with the Coordinating Dies and the Tree Line Stencil.

To create this card, I started by stamping the large image from the Cycling Friends stamp set along with the balloons and the gifts. I colored them using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Next I create the back ground for the scene using the Petite Clouds Stencil, the new Tree Line Stencil that I fussy cut on the top side along with distress oxide inks. I also inked up a sheet of paper with shades of green and splattered it with water, before die cutting with a grass border die, and stamping the sentiment on one of the grass die cuts.

I assembled the card with foam stamp and die to add dimension between the layers and tuck in the bike image between them.

Rainbow Florals | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Monday crafty friends! I hope that y’all had an amazing weekend! I got the morning off parenting on Sunday, and used the time to decorate a cake and celebrate a friends birthday with it! It was just the reset I needed for this busy week!

Today I am sharing a card over on the Newton’s Nook Design Blog sharing a glittery rainbow card using one die and one stamp! Yup, that’s it!

To create this card I started by inking up an A2 sheet of card stock using distress oxide inks to create a rainbow, then I covered it with Nuvo glitter drops, but I used it like a gel/mousse and spread it all over the inked background.

While the background dried, I used the flower die cut from the Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set to create a pattern by die cutting multiple times, I also saved the full flower die cuts. Next I stamp and heat embossed a sentiment from the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set.

I added the die cut panel to the rainbow background, and added the whole flower die cuts after curling the petals to add some dimension and added rhinestones in the middle to finish off.

‘Eidi’ Gift Card Holders | Ramadan

Jummah Mubarak and Hello crafty friends! Ellen Hutson recently shared a galaxy reel of mine and I was like Ooo! I need to make some more space-ish themed cards, but I’ve also been trying to make and share more Eid inspiration, so I combined the two ideas to make these space themed Eidi gift card holders!

To create these, I started by die cutting the Reverse Confetti Gift Card Holder Cover Panel from the new Islamic Designs Cardstock Pack from The Write Aesthetic. I also created a galaxy background (more details here) and die cut 2 pieces using the insert pieces on the Gift Card Holder Cover Panel.

For the first one, I embossed a lantern image from DstampssLanterns and Little dua Makers and a sentiment from Mini Muslims stamp set with gold embossing powder and adhered it to one of the gift card holder die cuts.

For the second one, I used some images from Lawn Fawn‘s Out of this World (die cut using the coordianting dies) and I embossed the same sentiment as the first gift holder.

So grateful for these Islamic products on the market now! Makes Ramadan and Eid crafting so much easier! Make sure to check out these brands and let them know I sent you *wink*. I hope you were inspired and if you create something for Eid be sure to tag me @everydayengineered on Instagram

And it was so easy to make using the new Islamic Designs Cardstock Pack from The Write Aesthetic, I am in love with this pattern paper and can’t wait to use ALL the sheets!

To create these book marks I started by die cut the book marks using Newton Nook DesignsBookmark Die Set from a sheet of cardstock from the Islamic Designs Cardstock Pack. I also die cut a backing from some Kraft paper and adhered it to the back so that you can add a personal message!

Next I stamped and colored (using copics) two of the images from DstampssMini Muslims stamp set, and fussy cut them out. Lastly I die cut the word ‘IQRA’ from Henry’s ABCs by Lawn Fawn.

So grateful for these Islamic products on the market now! Makes Ramadan and Eid crafting so much easier! Make sure to check out these brands and let them know I sent you *wink*. I hope you were inspired and I will be back with more Eid crafts soon!
