‘Leftover’ Rainbow Shaker Card | MFT Stamps

I love making 2 for 1 cards! More bang for your time, so why not! I shared a CAS card a while back and decided to save the negative space and use it and create a shaker! I was so quick and easy to put together, and it’s a birthday card that I always need a million of LOL!

As I mentioned, I created this card from a negative die cut left over using My Favorite Things Celebrate with Cake Die. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Worn LipstickWild HoneyTwisted CitronPeacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet. I splatted it with water and dried it with a towel, before die cutting! Then I embossed the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Celebrate Everything stamp set using black embossing powder. Next I back it with some acetate and filled it with sequins.

I finished off the card by die cutting some flames from some scrap cardstock backed with low tack tape so it stays in place so that I could color it using copic markers in Y13 and Y38. Once adhered to the card front, I added some glossy accents to give it some dimension.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Happy Crafting!

Rainbow Candle Birthday Card | MFT Stamps

Hello crafty friends! Hope that you are having a great start to the week! If not, it’s the weekend in two days! I’m on the ScrapbookPal blog today to share a fun rainbow card with you! Sometimes I love making layered and detailed cards, but sometimes you just have 10 mins to craft, so here’s some inspiration for such a situation!

To create this card :

I started my ink blending a rainbow on an A2 sheet of bristol smooth card stock. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Worn Lipstick, Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet.

Next I die cut the candles from the My Favorite Things Celebrate with Cake multiple times from the rainbow inked cardstock.

I die cut the flames from some scrap cardstock backed with low tack tape so it stays in place so that I could color it using copic markers in Y13 and Y38.

I embossed a sentiment from the My Favorite Things Celebrate Everything stamp set using VersaFine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder.

Using the negative as a guide, I adhered the candle die cuts to the card front with the embossed sentiment.

Lastly, I added the candle flames and covered them with glossy accents to add a little dimension.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Till the next time, take care!
