Pretty Pink Posh

Merry Penguin Pals | Pretty Pink Posh

Happy last day of November! I know, right? I know that this year has been crazy busy, but November literally passed by in a blink! I managed to color these cute penguins a while back, and finally got a chance to create the card! I actually recreated my own card from earlier in the year! Check it out here.

To create this card, I started by stamping all the penguins from the Penguin Pals stamp set along with all the “accessories”. I colored them using copic markers. The color combos I used are shared at the end of the post. And then die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Next I die cut a stitched square using the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Squares from white card stock, and dry embossed it using the Snowflakes Stencil and I die cut all three of the frames from the Stitched Photo Frames die set.

With a little masking, I stamped the sentiment “merry wishes” on to the two larger frames. I adhered the frames and colored die cuts using a mix of foam tape and liquid adhesive to be able to layer the images and add some dimension. I finished off the card with Winter Wonders Clay Confetti and added it to a light blue card base.

Happy Thanksgiving | Honey Bee Stamps

Woah! What a day it’s been, long pre-thanksgiving to-do list, kid 1 caught the sniffles and I committed to a baking job, AND I have a card project due tonight. Why I ask, why do I do this to myself LOL. It’s okay, I have a to-do list, I’m not making a turkey, so I have a ton of time till 1PM tomorrow. Make a plan, stick to it, and things will get done. I digress. Let’s get to today’s card so I can move on to the next thing.

After a long 18-ish months, its been more than heartwarming to be able to gather, so my card to dedicated to all those who can finally travel, and create new memories cause we are always better together!

To create this card I stamped, and colored many of the images from the Better Together stamp set. I used copics, and then die cut them using the coordinating dies. I also stamped and embossed the sentiment on to black card stock using gold embossing powder and die cut it using the coordinating die.

Next I inked up a piece of card stock slightly larger than an A2 size with distress inks (abandoned coral, dried marigold, crushed olive and salvage patina). I sprayed it with water and then splattered some gold paint on it. Once it dried I die cut it using the Autumn Splendor Cover Plate.

I added the die cut panel to a Kraft card base and then added the colored images along with the sentiment and as always finished off with some jewels.

Happy Thanksgiving crafty friends!

Poisettia CAS card | Newton’s Nook

Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope that you’re week is off to a great start, if not, at least it ends tomorrow! I’m super excited about the weekend, first time not cooking/hosting, so looking forward to reading, crafting and catching up of watching TV/movies! I may pack a puzzle or two also!

If you are crafting this weekend, here’s some holiday card inspiration for you using my favorite holiday stamp, poinsettias!

To create this card, I started by stamping and coloring one of the images from the Poinsettia Blooms Stamp Set with copic markers. I don’t have the Poinsettia Blooms Die Set, so I fussy cut the images.

Next I diecut a circle using the Circle Frames Die Set and embossed the ‘season greetings’ sentiment onto it using gold embossing powder. I adhered the circle to an A2 size card front dry embossed using the Holiday Foliage Stencil.

I finished off the card by adhering the colored images using foam tape to frame the sentiment and added some jewels.

I hope these cards inspire you to create something for the holidays! Please make sure to stop by the Newton’s Nook Designs Blog for more inspiration and don’t forget to tag #NewtonsNook or #NewtonsNookDesign on Instagram to share what you created!

Thanks a Latte (in the Fall) | Honey Bee Stamps

Two posts in one day! Woah what! After my cleaning session, I had a few minutes before the dishwasher and dryer were done, and with two kids napping, I figured I’d get a little crafty time in and finished another card to sneak into the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

For this card, I paired some fall and winter products from Honey Bee Stamps cause I am not yet ready to let go of fall! I also finally attempted and successfully created a full panel shaker card!

To create this card, I started by created the shaker using this method and the Autumn Splendor Cover Plate and added it to a top folding A2 card front.

Next I created the mugs using the Mugs and Kisses die set along with the Darling Dahlias stamp set. I colored in the flowers with copics and then used a copic BG11 to color around it. I stamped the latte art from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and ink blended over it with some brown distress ink and die cut it using the coordinating die.

Lastly I built the sentiment with the “thanks a” from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and the “latte” from the Bitty Buzzwords: Fall die set cut from matte gold paper.

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Friday y’all! It’s been a long but thankfully productive week! Just finished a baking session and thought that I would take a break and share a pair for card before starting a cleaning session!

It’s the last day of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, and Newton’s Nook Designs is having a sale, so I thought I’d share some inspiration using the new stamp from their November release that are also included in the sale!

I made a pair of cards using my new favorite coffee products (including the new Coffee House Stories Paper Pad!) from Newton’s Nook Designs.

For my first card, I started by stamping and coloring some of the images from the Time For Coffee stamp set using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating Time For Coffee Die Set. I stamped and embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set on to a stitched banner diecut from the Bookmark Die Set.

I assembled the card on a A2 Kraft card base, firstly adding two strips of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad. Next I added the colored images layered with the sentiment banner and finished off with some jewels as always!

For the second card, I used the same Time For Coffee stamp set, this time coloring and die cutting some of the other images and coloring them with copic markers. This time I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a stitched circle die cut from vellum, I cut using the Circle Frames Die Set

I assembled this card on a A2 Kraft card base also, starting with two strips of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad. Next I added the colored images layered with the vellum circle and finished off with some jewels as always!

Don’t forget to check out the new products and sale at Newton’s Nook Designs, make sure to head over to the Coffee Lovers Blog to find out how you can link up your card to play along! There are a TON of prizes and it ends tonight!

Coffee and Friends | Pawsome Stamps

Happy Thursday! It’s been a busy day, and I still have a ton of baking to get done to done, but I needed to take a minute so I finished a card as nap times aligned! And since we still have a few more limits, lets see if I can get this on the blog! I created a coffee card for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I’ve recently been creating card with colored pieces that I stash away! So today’s card uses this fun coffee mugs from Pawsome Stamps Coffee Besties Stamp Set.

Since the images where already stamped, colored and fussy cut, it only took a few minutes to put the card together. I started by trimming down a sheet of pattern paper to an A2 size and die cut a window in it using the Window Frames Die from Pretty Pink Posh. I adhered the die cut card from to an Kraft card base.

I stamped a sentiment from the Coffee Besties Stamp Set in the windows and added the coffee mugs to the card using some foam tape. And as always I finished off the card with some confetti.

Hope you enjoyed this coffee theme card today! Make sure you head over to the Coffee Lovers Blog to find out how you can link up your card to play along! There are a TON of prizes, including one from Pawsome Stamps.

PS you can find my other cards for the 2021 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop here : card 1, card 2 and 3.

Newton’s Nook Designs November Release – DAY 3 – Snow Angel Newton & Snow Angel Puppy + Coordinating Dies, Roll with It

Happy Wednesday! It’s the last day of reveals over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited for all the inspiration I got to share with you! Today’s products are all about SNOW! Today we are showcasing the Snow Angel Newton & Snow Angel Puppy + Coordinating Dies, and Roll with It mini stamp set! Here’s how I was inspired!

All three of today’s cards are made using some fun techniques that I finally tried and I am so happy that I did!

For my first card, I used the Roll with It stamp set to create a simpler card that can easily be mass produced. To create the card I started by ink blending a sheet of blue cardstock to create an ombre look, and layered it with deco foil paste over the Snowfall Stencil and let it dry overnight. After it dried, I ran it through my laminator layered with a sheet of flock.

While the deco foil paste dried, I stamped the Roll with It stamp on to a die cut I cut using the Snow Globe Shaker Die Set, and quickly colored it using copic markers. Once the background was ready, I added the sentiment along with trimmed banners cut using the Banner Trio Die Set to create a faux belly band look.

For my second card, I used a wobbler for the first time! To create this card, I started by stenciling the Petite Snow Stencil on to a sheet of pattern paper from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad with texture paste. While it dried, I stamped and colored the puppy image from the Snow Angel Puppy stamp set, and die cut it using the coordinating die. I also stamped and embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set onto a banner die cut using the Banner Trio Die Set.

Once the card background dried, I added the puppy using a wobbler and the sentiment using some foam tape to finish off the card.

For my last card, I created my first spinner card! The image from the Snow Angel Newton is almost symmetrical so it worked out well for a spinner card!

To create this card I started by stamping and coloring the image of Newton from the Snow Angel Newton stamp set twice and die cut them using the coordinating die. I glued the two images together with some fishing wire between them. Next I created the card base. I die cut a circle from a piece of A2 sized blue card stock big enough to fit the colored image using a die from the Circle Frames Die Set and embossed the piece with the Snowfall Stencil to add some dimension. I die cut the same circle from a top folding card base, and added the textured card stock with the fish wire sandwiched between the two. I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment hidden behind the colored spinning image.

Newton’s Nook Designs November Release – DAY 2 – All Booked Up + coordinating Dies, Bookmark Die Set

Happy Tuesday! It’s reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! Today’s products are all about BOOKS! Literally my favorite thing after crafting! Today we are showcasing the All Booked up stamp set along with its coordinating Dies, and a new stand alone Bookmark Die Set! Here’s how I was inspired!

I love how the All Booked up stamp set works perfectly with the Bookmark Die Set! But I’m also excited to try it with other stamps from my stash, sooner rather than later I hope! I did create two projects to share today, a traditional card along with a cute bookmark!

For my card, I started by coloring the image with Newton from the All Booked up stamp set with copic markers and die cut it using the coordinating die set. Next I die cut the banner from the Bookmark Die Set from some grey cardstock and embossed a sentiment on to it.

To finish off the card, I trimmed down a piece of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories paper pad and adhered it to a grey card base. I added the banner with the sentiment tucked under the colored image and added a few jewels to finish off the card.

For my second card, I made a bookmark using all the products being revealed today! I started by die cutting the bookmark from the Bookmark Die Set twice from different sheets of the Coffee House Stories paper pad. I adhered them together to make the book mark sturdy. Next, I colored one of the images from the All Booked up with copic markers and die cut it using the coordinating die set.

I finished off the bookmark by adding the colored image to it, and added the sentiment “paws here” die cut from the Bookmark Die Set along with some ribbon.

Would you like to win the “All Booked Up” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Newton’s Nook Designs November Release – Day 1 – Time for Coffee + coordinating Dies, Coffee House Stories Paper Pad

Happy Monday! It’s reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! This release is probably my favorite of the year! Coffee and Books, it was made for me! Today we are showcasing the Time for Coffee stamp set along with the coordinating Dies, and a new paper pad, Coffee House Stories! Here’s how I was inspired!

The Coffee House Stories is my crafty wish come true on paper! After the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad was released, I was like we have to have a coffee one! So of course I had to use them on almost all my cards! And more cards are on the way! This is one paper pad I won’t be hoarding!

For my first card, I used a sheet of the paper paper as my inspiration! I stamped and colored the to – go mug from the Time for Coffee stamp set using copic markers and dir cutting it using the coordinating dies. I crated the back ground for the card using a Kraft card base, and a sheet from the Coffee House Stories pattern paper pad.

I finished off by stamping a sentiment from the same Time for Coffee stamp set on to a pink strip of paper and attached the colored die cuts on it, and lastly, like all my cards, added some jewels!

I loved the Coffee House Stories pattern paper pad so much, I had to create a second card using some older products that coordinate perfectly with it! To create this card, I started by stamping and coloring Newton from Newton’s Mug and die cutting using the coordinating Newton’s Mug Die, I stamped the image a second time on to a sheet of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories pattern paper pad and paper pieced it on to the colored die cut.

For the card base, I embossed Mugs Stencil on to some craft paper, added a strip of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories paper pad that matched the colored image. I finished off the cards by stamping a sentiment from the Time for Coffee stamp set on to a banner cut from the Banner Trio Die Set and a few jewels.

Would you like to win the “Time for Coffee” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Here’s how to win: Comment on the NND blog and Design Team blogs (see list below)! The winner will be chosen at random from the collective reveal posts.
