Pretty Pink Posh

Monster Birthday! | Pretty Pink Posh

Happy end of Stamptember! It’s a big month for stamping and I was so excited to be able to join in for the first time! Incase you missed the posts, you can check them out here and here. After I bought literally everything this month, I have put myself on spending freeze, indefinitely! I know that I am going to end up breaking it for the Pretty Pink Posh winter release, so here I am trying to justify my most recent purchases from them! I used the Monster Hugs stamp set earlier in the month here and y’all loved it so much that I decided to put it out again for a cute-not-spooky birthday-not-halloween card! I am tempted to attempt an Halloween card, so maybe I’ll add that to my “to create” list!

To create this card, I started by stamping all the monsters from the Monster Hugs stamp set along with all the “accessories” from the Birthday Friends stamp set. I colored them using copic markers. You can see how I colored them here. And then die cut them using the coordinating dies, Monster Hugs and Birthday Friends.

Copic Combo : BG 10, 11, 13, 15; RV 21, 23, 25; V 01, 04, 05, 06, Y13, 15; YG 21, 23, 25; YR 01, 02, 04, 07

Next I die cut a stitched square using the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Squares from white card stock, and dry embossed it using the Birthday Background Stencil. I die cut all three of the frames from the Stitched Photo Frames die set.

With a little masking, I stamped the sentiment from the Cupcake Critters stamp set on to the two larger frames. I adhered the frames and colored die cuts using a mix of foam tape and liquid adhesive to be able to layer the images and add some dimension. As usual I finished of the card with lots of jewels.

National Coffee Day | Honey Bee Stamps

You really thought I could let “National Coffee Day” go buy without making a coffee themed card! I’m all for made up holidays, esp ones that involve coffee! Be sure to head over the the Coffee Loving Card Makers Blog for more inspiration!

I used one of my favorite coffee stamp from Honey Bee Stamps, Treat Yo Self to create this cozy fall themed coffee card.

To create this card, I started by stamping three of the coffee mug images from the Treat Yo Self using black ink on to heavy weight card stock. I colored the images using copic marker and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set onto pink card stock and cut it using the coordinating die cut.

Next I created the background using the Sweet Stacks Rectangle Dies, along with the Gingham Galore : Fall paper pad and the Cable Knit Sweater stencil. I inked up the stencil using Tumbled Glass and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks along with white pigment ink. After the inked panel dried, I added the colored die cuts using foam tape, and finished off with some jewels.

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! We love to see what you create!

Faux Window Fall Cards | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Tuesday! Hope y’alls week is off to a great start! Popping in today with some faux window cards using products from Newton’s Nook Designs and my favorite fall crafting product, Kraft paper!

To make today’s cards, I started by stamping the larger images from the Signs of Fall and the Paw-tumn Newton stamp sets on to heavy weight white card stock and colored them in using copic markers (and colored pencils for the Signs of Fall image). Once I was done coloring I die cut the images using coordinating die (Signs of Fall and Paw-tumn Newton).

To finish my first card, using the image from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp set, I started by dry embossing an A2 piece of Kraft card stock using the basketweave stencil. Then I die cut an offset window from the embossed card stock using the largest stitched circle from the Circle Frames Die Set. Next I stamped the Fall Roundabout to line up with die cut on the embossed card front on a A2 card base using brown ink. I added the die cut card front to the card base using foam tape to add dimension and create a faux window look. I added the colored image from the Paw-tumn Newton along with a sentiment from the Fall Roundabout stamp set embossed on a banner die cut from the Banner Trio Die Set. And lastly, I added some jewels!

Copic Combo : C1, 3, 5; B00, 02, 05; Y13, 15, YG03, 63, 67; E 13, 15, 37; YR04, 07, Y17

The second card I created is very similar, except that I used the Heart Frame Die Set along with the Heartfelt Fall stamp set.

After creating a similar faux window like my first card, I added the colored image from the Signs of Fall stamp set embossed with a sentiment from the Snowman Greetings stamp set (inspired by the fall porch decor!) and of course added jewels to finish off the card.

Copic Combo : C3, 5; YR04, 07, Y17; Y13, 15; YG03, 63; G21, 24; R08, 24; BG10 Polychoromos Pencil :

I hope these cards inspire you to create something for fall! Please make sure to stop by the Newton’s Nook Designs Blog for more inspiration and don’t forget to tag #NewtonsNook or #NewtonsNookDesign on Instagram to share what you created!

Seahawk Themed Fall Critters | Pretty Pink Posh

Happy Monday! Yup the Seahawks played a HORRIBLE game and it pretty much rained half the weekend! Thankfully we enjoyed the sun while it was out, and then I made use of the indoor time to get productive and prep for the week ahead! And since I meal prepped/planned for the week, I got in some crafty time this morning to finish this slimline card using the critters I colored last week!

Incase you missed the critters on the feed, you can check it out here and also my little adventure to get the stamps, here.

Copic combinations are listed above for the critters and for the leaves and acorns I used the following combinations : RV17, V05; V04, 12; E13, 15, 27, 59; YG 63, 03, 01; Y38, 17, 15.

Once I was done with my copic coloring the images from the Fall Critters stamp set, I die cut them with the coordinating dies and set them aside. Next I created the background for the shaker, as you can’t make a Pretty Pink Posh card with out a shaker, right? I die cut a slimline panel, covered it with the Leaves Background stencil and inked it up with distress oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn, and Fossilized Amber. The stencil is a delicate one so ink up carefully!

I created the shaker window using the View From My Window slimline die from Crafty Meraki. You can also create a similar one using the Window Frames Die from Pretty Pink Posh like I did here. I added acetate and foam tape and an assortment of sequins to match my ink blending.

At this point I realized I hadn’t added a sentiment! So I embossed the one from the Fall Critters stamp set in gold onto black cardstock and fussy cut it. I added it on the bottom window and arranged the critters and fall foliage around the windows to finished off the card.

Farm Fresh Floral Card | ScrapbookPal

Happy Saturday! I’m up on the Scrapbookpal blog today sharing this fun floral card (my favourite type of card to make!) along with a new (to me!) technique, ink blending on kraft paper.

To create this card I started by stamping the floral arrangement and the water can image from the Farm Fresh Flowers Stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps using my MISTI stamp positioner and Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I left the stamp in the MISTI as I plan to double stamp.

I colored them using copic markers in the following combinations :
Leaves : G21, G24; YG03, YG63; YG03, YG13, YG23
Stems : E55, E59
Flowers : V12, V15, V17; R37, R39; RV63, RV66; R05, YR04; Y35, YR07
Water can : N0, N2, N4, N6; BV00, BV02

After coloring I placed the floral arrangement back into the MISTI and stamped the image using Versamark Watermark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. Then I die cut the colored images using the coordinating dies

Next I created the background for the card using the new Art Deco Patterns stencil. I used the one with the larger masked area, along with distress oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold.

I added the colored floral arrangement with foam tape on top of the water can image. For the sentiment I used the “thankful” stamp from the Bitty Buzzwords : Fall stamp set along with the “For your Friendship”. I heat embossed both on to kraft cardstock using Versamark Watermark ink and gold embossing powder. I die cut the word “thankful” using the coordinating dies and trimmed down the “for your frienship” into a strip. I added the thankful die cut using foam tape and adhered the sentiment strip with some liquid adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this card that I created and it inspires you to create something fun for fall!

Hugs in a Mug | Mama Elephant

Happy Thursday Y’all! I hope that you’ve been enjoying the last of summer as we transition into FALL! Yes in CAPITOL letters as I love all things fall, especially all the cozy rainy crafty sessions, with a cup of hot chocolate on the side! I love my hot drinks in the fall and winter, so of course this cute Hot Cocoa stamp set from Mama Elephant jumped into my cart as soon as it was released!

To create this card, I started by stamping all of the images from the Hot Cocoa stamp set onto some heavy weight card stock and coloring them using copic markers. The I cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Copic Combos : BG 13, 32, 34; YG01, 03, 21; R01, 08, 11, 14, 24, 32, 43; C1; N4, 6; YR00, 01; E11, 13, 15, 27, 31, 55, 57

To create the shaker background, I die cut the Six Window Cover die from some white card stock and inked it up using shabby shutters and worn lipstick distress oxide inks, leaving a bit of white space in the middle, I backed the die cut with acetate, and layered on the foam tape and filled it with some seed beads.

I finished off the card using a sentiment from the same stamp set, embossed in white on to black card stock and trimmed down into a strip. I adhered it to the center/white area of the card, and arranged the colored images around it, adding one of the little accents to each one.

Simon Says Stamp – Honey Bee Stamps STAMPtember® 2021 Exclusive Collaboration

Hi Crafty Friends! I’m super excited to share today’s STAMPtember exclusive collaboration with Honey Bee Stamps! The Be a Sunflower is a fun stamp set that’s perfect for ALL things Fall! I know it’s a limited edition set, but I can’t wait to use it again!

I’ve recently been loving mini slimline cards, and when I realized the row of sunflowers on the Be a Sunflower was the perfect size for a mini slimline, I couldn’t resist!

I started by die cutting two slimline rectangles using the Mini Slimline Stack Dies, on one stamped the full image using brown ink and my MISTI. I colored in the image using copic markers (combinations listed below), and them placed it back in the MISTI to stamp the image again using watermark ink and emboss using gold embossing powder. Then I fussy cut the image (you can also use the coordinating die if you wish).

Copic Combo : Y13, 15, 17; YG01, 03, 23; E13, 15, 37

I ink blended a little bit of Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink on to the bottom of the fussy cut colored image. On the second mini slimline die cut, I created an inked background using Wilted Violet, Spun Sugar and Dried Marigold and added some water splatter. I embossed the sentiment from the same Be a Sunflower stamp set, added the colored image to it with foam tape and finished off with some jewels.

I hope you like this adorable set and the card I’ve made, its my first STAMPtember where I’m creating cards, so I’m super excited! Thanks so much for stopping by today and if you like this set, grab it before it sells out! As it’s a STAMPtember exclusive and won’t be restocked!

Pop of Sunflower | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Friday! I don’t know what you, but this weekend could not have come quicker! AND it’s raining this weekend and I am secretly so excited to be able to stay at home with no FOMO, watch football, catch up on chores, bake and craft! Lots of fun stuff that’s sitting in my “new to use” bin!

While editing the pictures for today’s cards, I was like woahhh, I made a card with no stamping! Wow! That’s so unlike me! I’m usually ALL about the stamping and coloring (I love my copic collection!) Any hoo, I hope you like this CAS-ish card as much as I do!

To creat this card, I started my die cutting the Autumn Splendor Cover Plate from heavy white card stock (I needed to use a metal shim!) and cover the back with A LOT of foam tape to add dimension! After a minute of removing all the backing, I adhered it to an A2 card base.

Next up was some more die cutting! This time, I die cut all the pieces from the Lovely Layers : Sunflowers Die Set, die cutting the leaves twice. I inked them up using distress oxide inks ink shades of yellow and green, and splattered them with water, black and brown paint to add some depth. I match them up and layered them using liquid adhesive and added the sunflower to the card base using foam tape, so that I could tuck the leaves under it.

Lastly, I die cut the Thanks die cut from Kraft and golden glitter card stock to create a stacked sentiment die stack, and adhered it to the bottom on the card. All done! This really was an easy card to make, but looks SO FANCY!

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! We love to see what you create!

Halloween Inspiration Week – Day 4 | Newton’s Nook Designs

This week Newton’s Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week! All week the NND Design Team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Check out what I created today and don’t forget to check the NND Blog each day this week for more fun inspiration!

For my card, I decided to use the Trick or Treat Kittens stamp set, cause who can resist this cute images!

I started by stamping the two images from the Trick or Treat Kittens stamp set on to heavy weight card stock using copic friendly ink and colored them in using copic markers, and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Copic Combo : N0, C1, 3, 5, 7; E15, 37; YR00; Y15, 17; V15, 17; B00, 02; YG06, 23

Next I created the inked background using distress oxide ink (chipped sapphire, seedless preserves, ripe persimmon, and wild honey). Then I splattered it with water, black and white paint for some added depth.

Copic Combo : 0; N0; C5, 7; YR04, 14, 15; Y15, 17; YG06, 23; BV04, 08; E57, 59

Once I went to assemble the card, I found that the colored images were getting lost on the inked background, so I die cut stitched squares using the Slimline Frames and Windows Die Set and used them as a background instead. I almost embossed a sentiment from the same Trick or Treat Kittens stamp set on to the third square. I added the squares to the inked background and finished off the card with some jewels to match the ink colors.

Simon Says Stamp – Newton’s Nook Designs STAMPtember® 2021 Exclusive Collaboration

Hi Crafty Friends! I’m super excited to share today’s STAMPtember exclusive collaboration with Newton’s Nook Designs! The Talk Turkey is a fun stamp set that’s perfect not only for thanksgiving cards, it can be used for other projects like name card for your table setting or party favor tags!

I decided to make a ‘simple’ card today, using the loose or messy watercolor technique!

I started by stamping the smaller images from the Talk Turkey stamp set on to water color paper using versafine onyx ink. Then I used Koi Watercolors to color in the images in a messy way!

While the background was drying, I used copic markers to color in Newton, dressed as a turkey! Since this set doesn’t have dies, I fussy cut the images. I stamped a sentiment from the same Talk Turkey stamp set on to a banner cut using yellow cardstock and Newton’s Nook Designs Frames and Flags Die Set.

Once the watercolored background dried, I die cut it using the large rectangle die cut from Newton’s Nook Designs Frames and Flags Die Set. I adhered it to a Kraft A2 card and added the sentiment banner and colored image using some foam tape. Finally I added some jewels to finish off the card!

Copic Combo : N0, 6; C1, 3, 5, 7; R24, 27, 29; YR00; YR16, 18; Y15, 17; E 15, 37

I hope you like this adorable set and the card I’ve made, its my first STAMPtember card so I’m super excited! Thanks so much for stopping by today and if you like this set, grab it before it sells out! As it’s a STAMPtember exclusive and won’t be restocked!
