Pool Party Shaker Card | Lawn Fawn

Happy Monday crafty friends! Hope that you’re well and summer is there, whereever you are, cause it sure hasn’t shown up here in the PNW! I was up on the ScrapbookPal Blog on Saturday sharing this “detailed” card! It’s been a while since I have made a coloring card, and the Pool Party Stamp Set was perfect to take out my copic markers as I haven’t colored in a while!

To create this card :

I started by splattering an A2 piece of kraft cardstock with Black Soot, Ground Expresso distress oxide ink and white paint to create add some dimension.

Next used Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink to ink blend a sheet of paper. I splattered it with water and white paint for some dimension. Once it dried I die cut it using the Stitched Ripple Backdrop and then with the stitched frame from the Stitched Pond Frame die set. I saved the inner part of the die cut, and die cut the frame again from fun foam and a piece of pattern paper.

I stamped and colored the images from the Pool Party Stamp Set using copic markers, and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

I cut a thin strip and embossed part of the sentiment on it using versamark watermark ink and white embossing powder.

Lastly, I played around with the image placement before adhering them to the card.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Till the next time, take care!

Planet Wishes | Lawn Fawnatics #120

Happy Monday! I hope that the weekend was exactly what you needed it to be! Mine wasn’t as productive as I needed it to be, but it was relaxing enough to have me energized for an extremely busy week coming up! I have been procrastinating on some things, and optimistic that this is the week that I am going to make progress on my to do list! I did manage to make a card for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge – “all things birthday“ as I really wanted to use some new craft supplies I picked up at Room to Craft, my local craft store!

I’ve really been into creating galaxy backgrounds recently, so that combined with “birthday” I created this card.

To create this card, started my stamping the planet from the Year Eleven stamp set, along with a few from the Out of This World stamp set and colored them in using copic markers (Y13, 15, 18; YG00, 01; YR04, 16, 18; B00, 01, 02; C1, 3, 5, 7; R14, 17, 24) and die cut them using the coordinating dies (Year Eleven and Out of This World).

Next I created a galaxy background using distress ink in (black soot, chipped sapphire, mustard seed, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon and twisted citron) and splattered it using white and silver paint. Once dry, I die cut the letters for “BIRTHDAY” using Henry’s ABCs. I also die cut the same letters from silver card stock to create a shadow. I lined up the die cuts and added them to the center of an A2 piece of white card stock.

Next I stamped and embossed the sentiments from the Year Eleven stamp set, on to black card stock strips with white embossing powder. I trimmed off the “birthday” from one of them.

I finished off the card by adhering the sentiment strips and the colored images, using liquid adhesive and foam tape to create a little dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great week!

Fishes and Wishes | Lawn Fawnatics #119

Happy Thursday! I don’t know about you, but I am 100% ready for the weekend! Finally past all the things and going to host an adult only dinner and game night! It’s been so long since we’ve hung out with adult friends only, so can’t wait to get planning and shopping! Enough chitchat, let’s get to the card I’m here to share! I started making this card to create for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge “Clean and Simple” but I didn’t finish it on time, so I changed it up a bit and used the same images I had colored already!

So now sharing it for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge “Card Sketch“!

Here’s the card I came up with!

To create this card, I started by stamping all the fish images from the Finstatic Friends stamp set along with multiples of the seaweed and rocks. I colored them using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Next I inked up an A2 piece of white card stock to create a blue ombre and splattered it with water and black paint. I also inked up from dessert storm Neenah card stock with brown ink and added black and white paint splatters to make the “sand”, I die cut it with a hill die (you can also just use a pair of scissors!)

For the front of the card I used a small circle die to create windows, after inking up part of the panel with a bokeh stencil.

I finished off the card by layering the “sand” behind the circle opening, and adhering the fish and seaweed die cuts to create the scene. Lastly I embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set and fussy cut it before adding it to the front of my card.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great weekend!

Love you to the MOON | Lawn Fawnatics #117

Happy Sunday! Popping in quickly to share a quick, no stamping card inspired by the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge – “Lots of Hearts“.

Just like my last Lawn Fawnatics card this one was inspired by Carly! We were chatting about how we don’t use much black on our cards, and decided to change it up and create a space themed/galaxy card! Honestly, I didn’t like the way this card turned out and I made a million mistakes along the way, but I am still sharing it to encourage y’all to just create!

To create this card, I started by stamping some of the images from the out of this world stamp set, “moon” using quinn’s abcs, and the little hearts from baked with love stamp set. I colored them using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating die (out of this world, baked with love, quinn’s abcs).

copic combos : R27, 29, 35; Y13, 15, 17; BG 10; B00, 01, 12, 32; E11, 33; C00,1, 3. 5, 7; G14, YG06

Next I created a galaxy background using distress oxide inks (in Picked Raspberry, Spice Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Pine Needles, Chipped Sapphire, Wilted Violet and Black Soot), and gold paint. Once it dried I die cut out a heart using Heart Frames Die Set. I created the background for the card using the Staggered Hearts stencil.

I finished off the card by adding the colored elements to the card front and building the sentiment using the letters “moon” and embossing the rest on black cardstock strips using gold embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great week!

Rainbow Birthday Wishes | Lawn Fawnatics #116

Happy Sunday! Popping in quickly to share a quick, no stamping card inspired by the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge – “Let’s Celebrate!

This card was inspired by my “no buy” challenge along with Carly’s latest card.

To create this card, I started by inking up a A2 piece of Bristol Smooth card stock to create a rainbow using distress oxide inks (in Shaded Lilac, Salvage Patina, Twisted Citron, Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral, Kitsch Flamingo).

Next I embossed an A2 card front using the Echo Park Stencil – Birthday Balloons and then die cut the Giant Happy Birthday die from Lawn Fawn. I backed the embossed, die cut sheet with some acetate, and using the positive die cut as a guide, I adhered the pieces to the acetate.

Lastly, I backed the shaker front with foam tape and filled it with star sequins and added the rainbow inked background.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great rest of the week!

Birthday Latte | Lawn Fawn

Hello crafty friends! Popping in with a coffee themed card I made for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Believe it or not, the coffee mug stamp is more than 3 years old and it was BRAND NEW in my stash!

To create this card, I started by stamping the coffee mug from the Pumpkin Spice stamp set three times, colored them with copic markers and fussy cut them. I also stamped, colored and fussy cut the two cupcakes from the Baked with Love stamp set. Next I found a sheet of smiling coffee beans pattern paper, from who knows when and trimmed it down to an A2 size.

I die cut the Giant Happy Birthday from Kraft card stock to coordinate with the background and added it adhered it to the pattern paper. Next I arranged and adhered the colored images to the bottom of the card panel using foam tape. I finished off the card with jewels as usual!

Hope you enjoyed this coffee theme card today! Make sure you head over to the Coffee Lovers Blog to find out how you can link up your card to play along! There are a TON of prizes, including one from Newton’s Nook Designs

make the sentiment the star | LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE #112

Happy Wednesday y’all! I don’t think I have shared this before, but Lawn Fawn stamps were some of my first “real stamps” in my collection! This is waayyy before I started shopping for stamps online and stumbled upon them at my local craft store! And in all honestly I haven’t use them as much, mostly cause I wasn’t the best at coloring! But now that I am super confident with my copic marker coloring skills, bring on all the stamps! I’ve also been slowly adding coordinating dies as I didn’t have those cause I didn’t even have a die cutting machine back then!

Enough chit chat! Let’s get to today’s card! It was inspired by a party goodie bag my daughter got and I matched the current challenge over at Lawn Fawn, so of course I had to finally finish making it and share!

It’s been a while since I’ve made a card in one seating and woah … the copics that I used on this! Any guesses? Scroll down to count them as I have them listed!

Like all my card, I started by creating this card by stamping all the images from the Out of This World stamp set. I colored them with copics, trying to be as realistic as possible! Then I die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Next I created a galaxy background on black card stock using Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire, Cracked Pistachio, Scattered Straw, and Black Soot. I splattered it with water and silver paint and let it dry. Once dry, I die cut it using the Twinkle Slimline Die. I backed it with some grey cardstock.

For the sentiment I die cut the Giant Happy Birthday from silver and grey cardstock. I layered them a little off set to create a shadow. I adhered it to the middle of the card front and added the colored images to create the universe! I covered the I with the spaceship image.

Copic Combos : B00, 02, 05, BG10, 34, C00, 1, 3, 5, 7; E 13, 15, 31, 33, 37, 42, 43, 55; R08, 14, 27, 29; Y 11, 13, 15, 17, 35; YG 01, 03, 06; YR 07, 16

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great rest of the week!

Card Sketch | Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 106

Happy Saturday! I have a million things to catch up from after 2 weeks of solo parenting, and I’m baking for events this weekend! Like woah, do I even remember how to bake?!? But while I was waiting on the oven, I decided to make a card instead of cleaning up! I didn’t have much time to think it out, so decided to use the current Lawn Fawnatics Sketch!

After using my Finstatic Friends stamp set multiple times, I decided to get the dies! So of course I decided to use the stamp set again! It’s one of my first ever stamp sets, and it’s been fun to use it again!

To create this card, I started by stamping all the fish images from the Finstatic Friends stamp set and coloring them with Copic Markers (listed below) to create a rainbow. Then I die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Next I created the background using a waves stencil and distress oxide ink in Salvage Patina, adhering it to the card front at an angle and making off parts of the stencil for a diagonal look.

To finish off the card, I stamped a sentiment from the same Finstatic Friends stamp set with black ink on to the stenciled area, and adhered the colored fish images using foam tape, and added some jewels, cause all cards need a little bling!

Copic Combo : R05-14, YR14-16, Y13-15, G03-21, B32-34, V12-15

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great weekend!

LITTLE THINGS | LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 103

Happy Friday and start of the long weekend! I don’t think I’m going to have much crafty time, but I plan on finishing an interesting book that I started a few days ago, along with one that I’ve been making really slow progress on! In other news, y’all I made my first card for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!

I pair an older stamp set, fintastic friends with the newly released, giant happy birthday die. I loved the die so much during reveal week, that I was up bright and early at my local craft store, Room to Craft to pick it up!

To create this card, I started by stamping all the fish images from the fintastic friends stamp set, and colored them with copic markers. I don’t have the coordinating dies, so I fussy cut them out. Next I die cut the giant happy birthday twice, once from a teal-blue card stock and once from black to create a shadow.

Next to create the “scene” I inked up some Bristol Smooth Cardstock with blue and brown ink. I added splatters of water, and black and brown paint to add some dimension. I die cut the brown inked card stock with the Stitched Waves Dies and adhered it to the blue inked background with foam tape to add dimension. Next I offset the two word die cuts and adhered them using a bit of foam tape and some glue so that it was the same height as the ‘sand’. Lastly I scattered the fish images all over the card, along with some jewels to match.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great weekend and happy 4th!
