Fall Themed Thank You Cards | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Tuesday! Hope that you’re week started off well and you get some crafty time soon! I know it doesn’t feel like Fall, but I got a little excited with the new release from Newton’s Nook Designs and couldn’t put it away, so sharing some cards today using the new Autumn Oval stamp set! Its the newest addition to the Oval Collection and works with the previously released Oval Frames Die Set.

To create these cards, I started stamping the large image from the Autumn Oval stamp set on to both white and kraft paper paper using light brown alcohol friendly ink.

I used the same copic markers to color on both sheets, as you can see the Kraft sheet tones down the colors, making it perfect for fall! Once I was done coloring I restamped the image and embossed it with gold. Next I die cut them using one of the scalloped oval die cuts from the Oval Frames Die Set. I also die cut smaller stitched ovals with the same die set and embossed the sentiment on to it.

Before adding the cards to alternating card fronts, I added a few strips of pattern paper from the Autumn Paper Pad, then layered on the oval die cuts, and as always finished off with some sequins.

Please make sure to stop by the Newton’s Nook Designs Blog for more inspiration and don’t forget to tag #NewtonsNook or #NewtonsNookDesign on Instagram to share what you created!

Happy crafting!

Newton’s Nook Designs – Day 4 –  Harvest Haul and Newton’s Crate + coordinating dies

Happy Thursday and welcome to the last day of reveal week at Newton’s Nook Designs! I’ve had so much fun sharing a ton of inspiration with you this week! It might not feel like fall outside, but it sure looks like it’s here in my craft room! Today we are showcasing the Harvest Haul and Newton’s Crate stamp sets with their coordinating dies. Here’s how I was inspired!

Today’s set might be mini’s but they pack a punch! I love how the sentiments fit into the crate from Newton’s Crate and the Harvest Haul stamp set is going to be fun for making scene cards!

For my first card, I started by stamping the image from Newton’s Crate and coloring it using copic markers. After I was done coloring I die cut it using the coordinating die.

After die cutting the image, I stamped and embossed a sentiment on to the crate using white embossing powder.

I finished off the card by inking up a card base using the Falling Leaves Stencil and distress oxide inks in Wild Honey, Scattered Straw and Shabby Shatters. I added a strip of pattern paper from the Autumn Paper Pad, then added the die cut image, along with a few sequins.

For the second card, I started by stamping the truck image from the Harvest Haul stamp set on to Kraft paper, and the leaves on white card stock and colored it with copic markers. Then I die cut it using the coordinating dies.

Next I embossed a sentiment from the Harvest Haul stamp set on to a strip of white paper.

I finished off the card using a piece of pattern paper from the Autumn Paper Pad to create the card front, and then added the sentiment strip, along with the colored truck image. Lastly I added a few of the colored leaves as accents instead of sequins!

Happy Monday! It’s reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! It might not feel like fall outside, but it sure looks like it’s here in my craft room! Today we are showcasing the Franken-Newton  stamp set and coordinating dies, Halloween Meows Paper Pad, Halloween Woofs Paper Pad and Jack-o’-lantern Stencil Set. Here’s how I was inspired!

Before last year, I never used to make Halloween cards, and I also rarely used my pattern paper, I was more about hoarding it! Being part of the Newton’s Nook Designs has pushed me creatively and I couldn’t be more excited about this years Halloween/Fall release from Newton’s Nook Designs!

For my first card, I used the Franken-Newton stamp set along with the coordinating dies. I started by stamping two of the images to create a couple, and colored them using copic markers (shown below).

After coloring the images, I cut them using the coordinating dies. I used a couple of dies from the Heart Frames Die Set to die cut a heart from the Halloween Woofs Paper Pad and one from black cardstock that I stamped and embossed a sentiment from the Franken-Newton stamp set with white embossing powder.

I finished off the card, with a background panel cut down to an A2 size, and layered on the colored images, along with the colored images, and as always finished off with some sequins.

My second card is a no-coloring card, using sheets from both the Halloween Meows Paper Pad and Halloween Woofs Paper Pad.

I die cut one of the sheets to add a little dimension to the card, and finished off with a sentiment from the Trick or Treat Kittens stamp stamp, embossed on to a circle cut from black card stock using the Circle Frames Die Set.

For my final card for today I used the new Jack-o’-lantern Stencil Set. I inked up the first two layers on to make fall pumpkins. I used distress oxide inks in Walnut Stain, Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Shabby Shutters.

I finished off the card using some die cuts from the Fall Friends Die Set along with a vellum circle cut using the Circle Frames Die Set.

Would you like to win the “Fraken-Newton” Stamp Set?This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Butterfly Birthday Wishes | Pretty Pink Posh

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was such a productive day thanks to the little one being back in daycare! I was so excited to be able to get things done with a million snack and potty breaks! Here’s to hoping that today is just as if not more productive! Popping in bright and early today to share a very quick card that’s simple to make but looks so fancy!

To create this card I started with the Layered Butterfly Stencil from Pretty Pink Posh, inking up the first layer using distress oxide inks in kitsch flamingodried marigoldscattered strawtwisted citrontumbled glass and shaded lilac. I inked up the second layer with the same distress oxide inks, going heavy handed this time. Instead of a top to bottom rainbow, this time I went around the card front instead. I finished of the stenciled image using black soot for the last layer.

I finished off the card by adding a word die cut using the Happy Birthday Script Dies and some sequins.

Coloring for a Cause | Ellen Hutson

This past weekend, I was able to join Ellen Huston for a coloring for a cause Instagram Blog Hop. I thought that I would pop in here today to share the card I created, as the digital coloring book is still available at Ellen Huston.

I used the image of the bouquet of sunflowers from the coloring book, resizing it a little before printing. I colored it using a combination of sketchmarkers and copic markers.

Once I was done coloring I cut out the image using a stitched rectangle die. I created the background for the card using strip dies and blue and yellow card stock.

I finished off the card using a sentiment from the Courage Stamp Set, embossed in white on to black cardstock.

The hop is over, but the war is still going on, and the beautiful art from Ukrainian artist are still on Instagram so head over and share some love on their feed!

Baby Laundry Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Wednesday! I hope that your week has started off well! I am still playing catch up from July, and I can’t believe that it’s August! But I am excited about ALL the fall crafting!! Farhana from Everyday Engineered and popping in today with a fun baby card! I combined a few products from Honey Bee Stamps to make this CAS-ish card!

To create this card, I started by heat embossing the Spring Blooms Background stamp with watermark ink and white embossing powder.

Next I inked blended over it using distress oxide inks in Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, and Peacock Feathers.

Using the Simply Hexagons die from Pink Fresh Studios, I die cut the inked background to create a partial background for the card front. I also die cut a ruffle onesies from some pattern paper using one of the dies from the Bundle Of Joy die set.

Next I played around with some sentiments for the front and inside of the card, from the Inside: Welcome Baby Sentiments stamp set. I just a few strips of pattern paper to match the front of the card and pull it all together.

I finished off the card by stamping/embossing the sentiments, and gluing everything together using a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Till the next time, take care!

Rainbow Cupcakes, (Glossy) Accents and All! | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Friday! I hope that y’all had the exact weekend that you need, productive, relaxing, or crafty! I didn’t get much crafty time but I got to kinda sleep in, as I didn’t get to sleep pretty much ALL week! If y’all are like me and didn’t get to craft over the weekend, I wanted to pop in quickly to share a quick card idea that comes together in about 10ish minutes, so you can create this before bedtime!

To create this card I started by ink blending the first layer of the Cupcake Stencil Set from Newton’s Nook Designs on to an A2 piece of Bristol smooth cardstock. I used a lighter set of distress oxide inks in kitsch flamingo, dried marigold, scattered straw, twisted citron, tumbled glass and shaded lilac.

For the second layer I used a dark “rainbow” of distress oxide inks, in picked raspberry, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, mowed lawn, mermaid lagoon and wilted violet.

For the third layer, I used glossy accents. Make sure to clean your stencil immediately after using it, along with letting the accents dry for a couple of hours!

As I didn’t want to take too much away from the stenciled background, I finished off the card with a die cut sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh, Happy Birthday, cut from black card stock.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Till the next time, take care!
Farhana
