Pretty Pink Posh

Pop up Scarecrow Card

Happy First Day of Fall, Y’all! Unpopular opinion, but I am ready fall! The smoke is here, so need the rains to come and clear it up! I’m looking forward to cooler days, football games and lot more crafty sessions!

Sharing a kinda over the top card today! I tried to make my first interactive card! A lot went wrong, but I still wanted to share it, as art isn’t perfect and motivate those of your too intimidated to create interactive cards!

To create this card I started by die cutting the card base from Lawn Fawn‘s Peekaboo Pop-Up twice from white card stock.

I made a valley fold on one of the die cuts and stamped the row of pumpkins along the top from Pretty Pink Posh‘s Fall Borders stamp set. After coloring the image with copic markers, I fussy cut the top half, you can also use the NEW coordinating die cuts to partially die cut, but they hadn’t been released when I started this card!

Next I created a mask and inked up the bottom of the pumpkins using distress oxides inks in Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber, and splattered it with some gold paint.

Next I inked up the second die cut, this time scoring with a mountain fold. After scoring I inked it up with distress oxides inks in Wilted Violet, Salvaged Patina, and Broken China. I also splattered it with some gold paint.

Next I stamped, colored and die cut a bunch of images from multiple Pretty Pink Posh stamp sets. Here are the sets and coordinating :
1. Fall Signs : Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies
2. Fall Corners : Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies
3. Cozy Fall Critters : Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies

I used A LOT of copic markers and remembered to take a picture for y’all!

With all the elements colored and shaded, I started to assemble the card, first by adding the pop up arm, and playing around with the placement if all the leaves. I ended up not using the pumpkins.

Finally finishing off the card by adhering everything together!

Thanks for following along on a very long blog post! I really hope this inspires you to create something new or attempt something you have been avoiding!

Beach Birthday Card | Avery Elle

Hello crafty friends! I hope that you are having a great start to the week! I was on the ScrapbookPal blog yesterday with this card that was 100% inspired by my recent vacation in Hawaii! I spent most of it on the beach reading a book with the loveliest drinks in hand! Okay, enough reminiscing, lets get to the card!

To create this card, I started by stamping and coloring a set of images from the Avery Elle Beachy stamp set with copic markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Next I used distress oxide inks (in Brushed Corduroy, Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade) to create a sand-sea-sky background. I splattered it with a bit of white and black paint to add some dimension.

Using a basic circle die and wave edge die, I die cut the inked background to create focal point for the card. I played around with the images to see how do create the scene.

I die cut a card front using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ripple Backdrop and embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder onto black card stock strips.

I finished off the card by layering all the pieces, and added the sentiment strips along with some sequins.

I hope this inspires you to dig out some critter stamps and create a scene card!

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Till the next time, take care!

Pool Party Shaker Card | Lawn Fawn

Happy Monday crafty friends! Hope that you’re well and summer is there, whereever you are, cause it sure hasn’t shown up here in the PNW! I was up on the ScrapbookPal Blog on Saturday sharing this “detailed” card! It’s been a while since I have made a coloring card, and the Pool Party Stamp Set was perfect to take out my copic markers as I haven’t colored in a while!

To create this card :

I started by splattering an A2 piece of kraft cardstock with Black Soot, Ground Expresso distress oxide ink and white paint to create add some dimension.

Next used Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink to ink blend a sheet of paper. I splattered it with water and white paint for some dimension. Once it dried I die cut it using the Stitched Ripple Backdrop and then with the stitched frame from the Stitched Pond Frame die set. I saved the inner part of the die cut, and die cut the frame again from fun foam and a piece of pattern paper.

I stamped and colored the images from the Pool Party Stamp Set using copic markers, and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

I cut a thin strip and embossed part of the sentiment on it using versamark watermark ink and white embossing powder.

Lastly, I played around with the image placement before adhering them to the card.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Till the next time, take care!

‘Eidi’ Gift Card Holders | Ramadan

Jummah Mubarak and Hello crafty friends! Ellen Hutson recently shared a galaxy reel of mine and I was like Ooo! I need to make some more space-ish themed cards, but I’ve also been trying to make and share more Eid inspiration, so I combined the two ideas to make these space themed Eidi gift card holders!

To create these, I started by die cutting the Reverse Confetti Gift Card Holder Cover Panel from the new Islamic Designs Cardstock Pack from The Write Aesthetic. I also created a galaxy background (more details here) and die cut 2 pieces using the insert pieces on the Gift Card Holder Cover Panel.

For the first one, I embossed a lantern image from DstampssLanterns and Little dua Makers and a sentiment from Mini Muslims stamp set with gold embossing powder and adhered it to one of the gift card holder die cuts.

For the second one, I used some images from Lawn Fawn‘s Out of this World (die cut using the coordianting dies) and I embossed the same sentiment as the first gift holder.

So grateful for these Islamic products on the market now! Makes Ramadan and Eid crafting so much easier! Make sure to check out these brands and let them know I sent you *wink*. I hope you were inspired and if you create something for Eid be sure to tag me @everydayengineered on Instagram

Iqra Book Marks | Ramadan

Welcome back to the blog! I love gifting books for all the occasions including Eid! So why not add a cute book mark to go with it! And it was so easy to make using the new Islamic Designs Cardstock Pack from The Write Aesthetic, I am in love with this pattern paper and can’t wait to use ALL the sheets!

To create these book marks I started by die cut the book marks using Newton Nook DesignsBookmark Die Set from a sheet of cardstock from the Islamic Designs Cardstock Pack. I also die cut a backing from some Kraft paper and adhered it to the back so that you can add a personal message!

Next I stamped and colored (using copics) two of the images from DstampssMini Muslims stamp set, and fussy cut them out. Lastly I die cut the word ‘IQRA’ from Henry’s ABCs by Lawn Fawn.

So grateful for these Islamic products on the market now! Makes Ramadan and Eid crafting so much easier! Make sure to check out these brands and let them know I sent you *wink*. I hope you were inspired and I will be back with more Eid crafts soon!

Planet Wishes | Lawn Fawnatics #120

Happy Monday! I hope that the weekend was exactly what you needed it to be! Mine wasn’t as productive as I needed it to be, but it was relaxing enough to have me energized for an extremely busy week coming up! I have been procrastinating on some things, and optimistic that this is the week that I am going to make progress on my to do list! I did manage to make a card for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge – “all things birthday“ as I really wanted to use some new craft supplies I picked up at Room to Craft, my local craft store!

I’ve really been into creating galaxy backgrounds recently, so that combined with “birthday” I created this card.

To create this card, started my stamping the planet from the Year Eleven stamp set, along with a few from the Out of This World stamp set and colored them in using copic markers (Y13, 15, 18; YG00, 01; YR04, 16, 18; B00, 01, 02; C1, 3, 5, 7; R14, 17, 24) and die cut them using the coordinating dies (Year Eleven and Out of This World).

Next I created a galaxy background using distress ink in (black soot, chipped sapphire, mustard seed, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon and twisted citron) and splattered it using white and silver paint. Once dry, I die cut the letters for “BIRTHDAY” using Henry’s ABCs. I also die cut the same letters from silver card stock to create a shadow. I lined up the die cuts and added them to the center of an A2 piece of white card stock.

Next I stamped and embossed the sentiments from the Year Eleven stamp set, on to black card stock strips with white embossing powder. I trimmed off the “birthday” from one of them.

I finished off the card by adhering the sentiment strips and the colored images, using liquid adhesive and foam tape to create a little dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great week!

Fishes and Wishes | Lawn Fawnatics #119

Happy Thursday! I don’t know about you, but I am 100% ready for the weekend! Finally past all the things and going to host an adult only dinner and game night! It’s been so long since we’ve hung out with adult friends only, so can’t wait to get planning and shopping! Enough chitchat, let’s get to the card I’m here to share! I started making this card to create for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge “Clean and Simple” but I didn’t finish it on time, so I changed it up a bit and used the same images I had colored already!

So now sharing it for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge “Card Sketch“!

Here’s the card I came up with!

To create this card, I started by stamping all the fish images from the Finstatic Friends stamp set along with multiples of the seaweed and rocks. I colored them using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Next I inked up an A2 piece of white card stock to create a blue ombre and splattered it with water and black paint. I also inked up from dessert storm Neenah card stock with brown ink and added black and white paint splatters to make the “sand”, I die cut it with a hill die (you can also just use a pair of scissors!)

For the front of the card I used a small circle die to create windows, after inking up part of the panel with a bokeh stencil.

I finished off the card by layering the “sand” behind the circle opening, and adhering the fish and seaweed die cuts to create the scene. Lastly I embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set and fussy cut it before adding it to the front of my card.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great weekend!

Love you to the MOON | Lawn Fawnatics #117

Happy Sunday! Popping in quickly to share a quick, no stamping card inspired by the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge – “Lots of Hearts“.

Just like my last Lawn Fawnatics card this one was inspired by Carly! We were chatting about how we don’t use much black on our cards, and decided to change it up and create a space themed/galaxy card! Honestly, I didn’t like the way this card turned out and I made a million mistakes along the way, but I am still sharing it to encourage y’all to just create!

To create this card, I started by stamping some of the images from the out of this world stamp set, “moon” using quinn’s abcs, and the little hearts from baked with love stamp set. I colored them using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating die (out of this world, baked with love, quinn’s abcs).

copic combos : R27, 29, 35; Y13, 15, 17; BG 10; B00, 01, 12, 32; E11, 33; C00,1, 3. 5, 7; G14, YG06

Next I created a galaxy background using distress oxide inks (in Picked Raspberry, Spice Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Pine Needles, Chipped Sapphire, Wilted Violet and Black Soot), and gold paint. Once it dried I die cut out a heart using Heart Frames Die Set. I created the background for the card using the Staggered Hearts stencil.

I finished off the card by adding the colored elements to the card front and building the sentiment using the letters “moon” and embossing the rest on black cardstock strips using gold embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great week!

Rainbow Birthday Wishes | Lawn Fawnatics #116

Happy Sunday! Popping in quickly to share a quick, no stamping card inspired by the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge – “Let’s Celebrate!

This card was inspired by my “no buy” challenge along with Carly’s latest card.

To create this card, I started by inking up a A2 piece of Bristol Smooth card stock to create a rainbow using distress oxide inks (in Shaded Lilac, Salvage Patina, Twisted Citron, Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral, Kitsch Flamingo).

Next I embossed an A2 card front using the Echo Park Stencil – Birthday Balloons and then die cut the Giant Happy Birthday die from Lawn Fawn. I backed the embossed, die cut sheet with some acetate, and using the positive die cut as a guide, I adhered the pieces to the acetate.

Lastly, I backed the shaker front with foam tape and filled it with star sequins and added the rainbow inked background.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope y’all have a great rest of the week!
