Baby Laundry Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Wednesday! I hope that your week has started off well! I am still playing catch up from July, and I can’t believe that it’s August! But I am excited about ALL the fall crafting!! Farhana from Everyday Engineered and popping in today with a fun baby card! I combined a few products from Honey Bee Stamps to make this CAS-ish card!

To create this card, I started by heat embossing the Spring Blooms Background stamp with watermark ink and white embossing powder.

Next I inked blended over it using distress oxide inks in Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, and Peacock Feathers.

Using the Simply Hexagons die from Pink Fresh Studios, I die cut the inked background to create a partial background for the card front. I also die cut a ruffle onesies from some pattern paper using one of the dies from the Bundle Of Joy die set.

Next I played around with some sentiments for the front and inside of the card, from the Inside: Welcome Baby Sentiments stamp set. I just a few strips of pattern paper to match the front of the card and pull it all together.

I finished off the card by stamping/embossing the sentiments, and gluing everything together using a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive.

Citrus Blooms | Pink Fresh Studios

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends! I hope that your weekend is relaxing and filled with a ton of crafty time! I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and try out the latest trend of layered stencils for coloring floral stamps! Today I am using the Citrus Bloom stamp from Pink Fresh Studios with the coordinating Citrus Bloom Layering Stencils.

To create this card I started with an A2 piece of white card stock to match the guidelines and I found it easier to ink first, then add the stamped image.

I started with inking up the flowers on the image using distress oxide ink in Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet.

Next I ink blended the leaves using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.

The last layer of ink blending was the fruits. I used Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade for the oranges and Squeezed Lemon and Scattered Straw for the lemons. 

Once I was done inking I used VersaMark watermark ink and Lawn Fawn gold embossing powder to emboss the Citrus Bloom stamp onto the inked panel.

Lastly I die cut the images using the coordinating dies, and also diecut the Simply Diamonds cover die from green card stock, the sentiment “hello” from the Darling Dahlias die cuts to assemble the card.

Messy Watercolored Florals | Pinkfresh Studios

Happy Monday y’all! Hope that everyone had a great, crafty weekend and is adjusting well to time the time change! I’m popping in today to share my first post as part of the ScrapbookPal Design team! I was lucky enough to guest design for them last month, you can see the post here! If you know me, then you probably know that I love creating with floral stamps! So of course I jumped at the chance to create with the Pink Fresh Studio’s Dahlia Bunch stamp set. I usually do most of my coloring with COPIC markers but this stamp seemed the perfect one to watercolor!

To create this card I, stamped the image from the Dahlia Bunch stamp set using watermark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Next I chose out the color palette I wanted to use on the card. To watercolor I used Distress Inks in worn lipstick (mini cube), spun sugar (mini cube), wilted violet (mini cube), shaded lilac (mini cube), shabby shutters (mini cube), and mowed lawn (mini cube).

Then, I watercolored the embossed image by smooshing the distress ink on to a smooth surface and adding water before bringing it to paper. Once it dried, I diecut it out using the coordinating die.

While the watercolored panel was drying, I started working on the background for the card. I picked out the matching lighter shades in distress oxides to create an ink blended panel. I used peeled paint, spun sugar, and shaded lilac. To add some depth to the background, I added splatters of white and gold paint. I also die cut a panel from using the Pinkfresh Studio Simple Hexagons and splattered it with some gold paint too.

While the watercolored panel was drying, I started working on the background for the card. I picked out the matching lighter shades in distress oxides to create an ink blended panel. Pink Fresh Studio – August 2020 Challenge

Are you a procrastinator? I sure am! I’ve had this challenge on my ‘to craft’ for weeks, just never got to it for some reason, kept finishing up other projects here and there. So here I am submitting these on the last day of the challenge, better late than never, right?

Using the Pink Fresh Studio Month Challenge as my inspiration, I made two cards. You know there had to be a slimline card!

I used the same Fleur 1 stamp set on both cards, which is unfortunately discounted, but I just love it! I wanted to show you how to “stretch” your stamps to make slimline cards! So far I only have one slimline die, but I’ve been making a ton of cards! I have my eye on a few other slimline products, lets see how long I can stay strong!

For my slimline card, I started by inking a 3.5 x 8 inch to match the colors on the challenge mood board, then die cut it using the larger frame of the Mama Elephant Slimline Basic Die, Then I stamped and embossed (with gold) the larges floral bouquet image from the Fleur stamp set on both ends on the inked panel. For the sentiment I used the Hello Friend Script Die from Pretty Pink Posh, die cut from glitter cardstock and stacked to add dimension.

For the second card, I stamped and embossed the same image, this time on vellum, and die cut it using the coordinating die cut. I stamped and embossed (in gold) the sentiment from the Fleur 2 stamp set. To create the background I inked up an A2 panel, with the same colors as the slimline card (listed below). Then I embossed it using the Geo Floral Background Die. I adhered the vellum diecut using liquid adhesive that dries clear and a foam tape for the sentiment.

Pink Fresh Studios Weekly Card Sketch (#13)

Hey there! Welcome back! It’s been a while since I got the chance to create using the weekly sketch on Facebook, but excited to be back with a pair of quick cards!

As usual, since I had my supplies out I figured I’d make two cards, one simple and the second one a little more involved with some copic coloring.

I was crafting half asleep and totally forgot to make a note of the copic and distress oxide ink colors I used!

For the copic colored card, I started by stamping the PinkFresh Studio Floral Background onto heavy white card stock with copic friendly black ink. Then I colored them in Rainbow order, grouping the flowers in threes or fours! To finish the card I embossed a sentiment from the PinkFresh Studio Word Series THANKS stamp set on to a strip of pink vellum with white embossing powder. I chose a image with a thicker font to be able to hide glue behind it to adhere the vellum strip onto the colored card front.

The second card is the same process as the first, except I ink blended the background with distress oxide inks.

Pink Fresh Studios Weekly Card Sketch (#11)

As usual I finished making my card right before the deadline for this challenge! Well I made one of my two cards, a while back but wasn’t completely satisfied with the result, so made a second one in the middle of the night yesterday! I’m still sharing the first card I made as some told me, ‘we are our worst critics’!

This was the inspiration for the Pink Fresh Studio Facebook group’s Card Sketch Challenge, and here’s what I came up with!

Which one do you I made first and wasn’t satisfied with?

This was the first one! It definitely looked better in my head! I started with inking up two pieces of yupo paper using alcohol pearl inks in tranqil and sublime. Once they they dried, I die cut the inked pieces using the LOVE with botanicals die. I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Thanks word series stamp set, and adhered the diecuts to look like a bunch of branches.

For my second card I stamp and watercolored some floral images from the Fleur 1 stamp set using Derwant Inktense pencils, and then die cut them using the coordinating dies. I stamped the same sentiment as the first card with black ink. Before adhering the stamped images to the card base, I ink blended a blue circle to highlight the images.

Pink Fresh Studios Weekly Card Sketch (#10)

Hey, I shared these cards on the Pink Fresh Studio Facebook group’s Card Sketch Challenge, but I didn’t get a chance to share on the blog or my Instagram, and thought I’d put up a quick post since its a perfect time to share as the Daily Marker 30 challenge is going on!

Using the above sketch I made these two cards.

For the first card, I stamped part of the image from the Fleur 1 stamp set on two corners of the a A2 piece of heavy weight white card stock, with watercolor friendly black ink along with the sentiment from the Thanks word series stamp set. I then colored in the images using Nuvo watercolor pencils for a ‘messy’ look. Once the panel dried I added some silver Nuvo drops and added it to a card base.

For the second card, I stamped the same image and sentiment, this time using versamark watermark ink and embossed in gold. I ‘colored’ in the flowers using a Nuvo Aqua flow pen in glitter gloss. It’s hard to see in the picture but it adds a little shine to the image. As a finishing touch I added some gold Nuvo drops.

Pink Fresh Studios Weekly Card Sketch (#9)

Time to make 2 cards : 30 mins.
Time to photograph/edit : 40 mins.
Time to clean up craft space for next project : 3-5 business days!

Yup that was my afternoon yesterday, I really needed to disconnect and what better way then to craft! But now I am left with a HUGE mess to clean up! Good thing its cleaning day, right? I wanted to craft, but I couldn’t think of anything to make, zero “creative mojo”! That’s when I remembered the PinkFresh Studio Facebook Card Challenge, this sketch ended yesterday, but I still wanted to share the cards on here, but a new one should be out later today.

Using the sketch above I created two cards! Couldn’t decide which one to share so shared both! Will let you know next week if that’s allowed or not!

If you know me then you probably know by now that my favorite color combo’s are gold and black and rainbows! We could all use a little brightness in our lives so I think rainbows are a necessity these days!

For the rainbow card I embossed the background stamp in white embossing powder, before ink blending I used a circle die cut to create the cut out pattern to match the sketch. I set aside the diecuts and ink blended using a set of distress oxides with my blending brushes, I went back and forth between the colors to avoid harsh lines. Once I was done, I used a microfiber clothe to rub off the access ink and expose the white embossing. I adhered the background to a white top folding notecard, and added the circle diecuts back using some foam tape to add dimension. I finished off using a sentiment embossed in white on black cardstock that I trimmed down and adhered in the middle of the card.

For the second card, I used a different background stamp, but this time embossed in gold. I cut out the circles in the same way as first card, but this time I discarded the diecut circles and adhered the background to a black notecard with some foam tape. I embossed the sentiment in gold on to black card stock and double foam taped it on to the center of the card. I really wanted to add some gold jewels, but couldn’t find mine, so I used some nuvo drops instead!

Salam and Sayings Theme Week (with DStampss) : Day 1

As a card maker, the lack of Islamic theme stamps, especially sentiments always bothered me. I’m always looking for sets that I can use for Eid cards, as I have a handful of Altenew Eid sentiments I can use with them. But for any other occasion, I stick to English sentiments, like Congrats and Thank You. So you can only imagine my excitement when I came across DStamps on Instagram and saw their Salam stamp set. I used their Eid sentiments set for my Ramadan/Eid cards, but now I get to share with you every day cards with Arabic sentiments!

For today’s cards I made thank you cards, but with Arabic Sentiments! Perfect for Eid thank you cards, right? But to add a little twist, I decided to make them “open cards” using background/cover dies.

For the first card, I die cut my current favorite lattice die, twice. I scored the top of one, added strong double sided adhesive and adhered the two together. For the front of the card I adhered the colored wreath, and backed it with wreath diecut to hide the adhesive. For the back of the card, I die cut a circle just smaller than the wreath, stamped and embossed a sentiment from DStampss, I also backed this one with another matching circle for a finished look and a place to stamp my handmade by stamp! Make sure to die cut the background die from heavy cardstock.

For the second card, I used a layer die set, cutting the bottom later twice. For the front of the card, I adhered the two layers, and added the embossed sentiment circle and a watercolored floral image. I die cut three more circles to back the sentiment, and add a place to add a message on the back of the card. I water colored the image and the sentiment circle quickly with some zig real brush markers.
