Does anyone else feel that their weekends tend to be busy than weekdays! I was going to share some last minute Ramadan cards today, but that isn’t happening as I am still putting them together! So instead I am sharing some cards that I sent out yesterday with happy mail (yes I made it to the post office!)
Have you caught the stitching bug yet? I’ve been stitching since last summer, and I am OBSESSED! I take it with me everywhere, flights, road trips, lunch breaks, literally everywhere as I have a little pouch in my purse ALL THE TIME! But some how I never seem to finish them into cards, so that was the challenge to my self this weekend, and I think I’m happy with what I made!
Since the stitched background is itself a show stopper, I decided to keep the rest of the card relatively simple and use some sentiment dies to finish them off.
For the first card, I used the “get well soon” die from Pretty Pink Posh, I stacked them and added some glossy accents to add some dimension. I also added a cherry blossom die cut (to cover up the fact that I didn’t center the die cuts).
On the second card, I cut out the “hugs” word from the Hugs Shaker Die, stacked them too, this time ending with a glitter layer on the top. I had a colored fuchsia left over from a different card and added that to finish it off.
Lastly, I used two sentiment sets from Pretty Pink Posh to finish this card, I didn’t stack the die cuts on this card, but I thought that they looked just as good!
Do you stitch on your cards? If so please share your favorite die in the comments along with how you finish them into a card!
