Neat and Tangled

Sunflower Slimline card (with Neat and Tangled)

Hey there! Today’s card is a slimline card, anyone else enjoying the new trend? I sure am and have a long list of dies I really want to get! What’s your favorite slimline die or what’s on your list? Let me know in the comments below.

Now on to the card that I made. I started by stamping the Heartfelt Thanks stamp set from Neat and Tangled on to some heavy weight white copic friendly card stock (now that’s a mouth full!) with copic friendly black ink. I used my Misti to stamp the image, flipping the paper around to stamp on both ends.

Copic Combo’s used : YG 06 – 03, YG 67 – 63 – 23, E 37 – 15 – 13, Y 35 – 15 – 13 – 11, YR 18 – 15 – Y15

Then I colored the images using the copic combos listed above and trimmed the panel down to fit on a 3.5 x 8.5 slim line card base (I used neenah dessert storm). To finish the card, I used a banner die cut, stamped and embossed a sentiment from the same Heartfelt Thanks stamp, and ink blending the die cut to match the flowers. I adhered the diecut using some foam tape for dimension, finally adding some nuvo drops to finish of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and as always here’s a list of products I used :

BRI Mood Board, Butterfly Reflections Ink, Neat and Tangled, Pretty Pink Posh

#BRIMoodBoard Color Challenge

What a week? Definitely one for the books! While my blog and Instagram may not show it, I’ve been having many one on one conversations and trying my best to make small changes, so do your part no matter how small it is. That aside, I decided that I need to craft a little to distract myself, but had zero ‘mojo’, so decided to use the Butterfly reflections Ink Mood Board that Jane from Papercraft4fun shared with me!

Using this color combination along with a Neat and tangled stamp set, Floral Frames (and coordinating dies)that I have been hoarding for so long, I came up with these two cards.

I started with only the shaker card in mind, but ended up with extra colored die cuts, which I didn’t want to waste of course!

For the first card I used the main stamp at the focal point, I colored (with copics) and die cut and created a shaker using some acetate and Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Enchanted Garden (in 4mm and 6mm). I added the sentiment to a piece of wood print pattern paper, added the acetate shaker piece, and added it to a card base.

For the second card, I decided to make a wreath with the leftover colored pieces. I used a Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Circles Dies and used it too build the wreath. I used the same sentiment as the first card from the Floral Frames stamp set, this time embossed in gold. Added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Enchanted Garden (in 4mm and 6mm) as a finishing touch.

One last look at the pair of cards, along with a list of supplies that I used below :
