It’s high time I stop neglecting this pretty much non existent blog and share something! I thought in honor of Mandala Day I will share some tips about making bulk Thank You cards, that I have learnt over the year as I have made multiple sets of them.

The more the cards, the simpler the design: when making any where between 25 to 200 cards, you don’t want to spend an hour per card!
Use more diecuts and basic stamping: again this will just make it quicker to finish the card. I do most of my diecutting at the same time and also use my MISTI for stamping.
Avoid intricate dies and stamps: this will also help with saving time as intricate dies have to be run through a few times, same with the stamps, they many need to be inked up more than once. If you want to cut out the stamped images, simple images can be fussy cut on the go.
Color on the go: this let you use those few free minutes during the day to make progress on your cards.
Same design, different colors: use background and turn-about stamps to create a variation in your cards by changing out ink colors.
Create an assembly line: instead of completing one card at a time, complete each step at a time. Die cutting, stamping, coloring, embossing and assembling separately will not only save you time, but will break the task down into smaller more manageable pieces allowing you to clean up in between and not have everything out at the same time!
Lastly, assemble on the go (or on your couch): I personally like to do this step on the go during lunch break or waiting for an appointment. All you need are your components and some adhesive!

Now that I have shared my tips, time to share my most recent set of thank you cards! I used products from Pretty Pink Posh and Right at Home, and created these cards inspired by Crystal from Crystal Thompson Designs.

Here are the steps that I followed to make these cards :

Created card bases and cut paper for layers.
Diecut layers and vellum circles.
Stamped back of card with my personal stamp and the inside of the card with longer sentiment.
Stamped the background using my MISTI.
Added flickers using my gamsai tambi water colors and a round brush.
While the flickers dried I stamped the “thank you” sentiment in versamark ink and added embossing powder. I heat set them all at once.
With all the stamping and die cutting done, I took all the components with me to my car repair appointment and stuck them together while waiting for there.
