Bold floral cards (with Studio Katia)

Yay! I made it! After sharing today’s cards I’ll have shared 31 cards in August with a day to spare! I actually made 25, the rest were from before, but I still assembled/wrote the blog posts so it counts!

The images on this pair of cards started of as an experiment to test copic combos, and silly me didn’t write them down, cause most of them worked and I would have loved to reuse them. But oh well, next time! And I just couldn’t waste these pretty images so two more cards to my stash!

For the first card, after coloring the floral image from Studio Katia, I ‘highlighted’ it using a BG10 copic. Then I trimmed down the edges using a border die, lastly I stamped and embossed a sentiment, trimming it down before adhering it with some foam tape. Finishing off the card by adding it to a kraft card base and adding some nuvo drops.

For the second card, I trimmed down the colored card front, added a sentiment on a banner die cut, adhered with foam tape. Before adding it to a card base, I backed it with a borders I cut using a slim line frame die cut and added a few nuvo drops.

Floral border cards (with Studio Katia)

Content creator. Designer. Influencer. These are very frequently used words in the world of social media, but do we really know their true meaning and do we really want to be labeled with one of these words? For the longest time I thought I wanted to be, but after some long conversation about it with fellow crafters, I’ve decided to go take a step back, reduce my time on social media and craft for me, and since I did, it has helped me be so much more creative!

Lately, I have been trying really hard not to impulse buy anything and everything I like! I eyed these Peony Stamps from Studio Katia for the LONGEST time and then finally gave in a few months ago, then baby came along, so only got to using a while back! I also got the coordinating dies and I’m so excited that they work well with other sentiments!

To make these cards, I started by stamping them on white cardstock using copic friendly ink. After coloring them using my copic markers, I die cut and fussy cut them, as the coordinating dies only cut one edge. To assemble the card, I diecut a lattice cover die from white cardstock, along with two banners from black cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto the diecut banners.

Before sticking the lattice diecut onto the card front, I ombre ink blended on it to add some depth. Lastly added the peony trimming and sentiment banner with some foam tape to add dimension, and finished off with some nuvo drops in morning dew.
