Pretty Pink Posh

Make A Wish | Pretty Pink Posh

Happy Friday Eve Y’all! I hope that this week is going by well for you! If not Super Bowl weekend is coming up, which mean A LOT of snacks and football, if you’re into the later LOL!! If you missed it, Pretty Pink Posh is celebrating their 9th birthday! I just placed my order and can’t wait to receive it, but in the mean while, I thought that it might be a good idea to actually use what I have in my stash, that was still BRAND new!

To create this card I started with the inked background using the Layered Candles Stencils. I used distress oxides inks in a rainbow color for the first layer, glitter gel for the second layer and lastly for the candle flames (third layer) I used orange and yellow distress oxide with a layer of glossy accents.

While the background dried, I stamped some of the smaller images from the Birthday Wreath Stamp Set and colored them using copic markers. After coloring I die cut them using the coordinating dies. I embossed the sentiment in white onto a square die cut using the Stitched Banner Duo 1 Dies from black card stock.

Once the inked background was dry, I added the sentiment square, and scattered the colored images around the sentiment and as always, finished off with some sequins!

If you are planning to shop the new Pretty Pink Posh release don’t forget about the freebie and coupon code!

Thanks for following along! I really hope this inspires you to create something new or attempt something you have been avoiding!

Espresso Your Love | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Monday Crafty Friends! I hope that y’all have a great start to the week! I have big hopes for this week, so let’s see if I actually get though my to do list and get a chance to craft! SO many things have piled up as I have been trying to get a NOT broken piece of furniture! We finally decided to return it and order one online! Here’s to hoping the new one is in ONE piece!

Okay, enough life updates, let’s get to today’s card! I’m not super into Valentines, BUT I am into coffee, so I used this an opportunity to use my valentines coffee stamp to make a card!

To create this card, I started by inking up an A2 piece of card stock using the Petite Hearts Stencil and some light pink ink, I tried to do a bit of an ombre ink blending. Next I stamped the pair of mugs from the Love Café Stamp Set and colored it, and die cut it using the coordinating Love Café Die Set.

Next I die cut a scalloped heart using the Heart Frames Die Set from a sheet of pattern paper from the Love & Chocolate Paper Pad. I also die cut a banner from a scrap piece from the same paper pad using the Banner Trio Die Set, along with one from pink card stock.

I white heat embossed a sentiment from Love Café Stamp Set on to the pink banner, and the large image from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set on to vellum. After heat setting I die cut the vellum using a stitched heart from the Heart Frames Die Set.

I finally I layered all the pieces together using a combination of glue and foam tape, and of course some sequins!

Sweet Treats Blog Hop | Newton’s Nook Designs

Newton’s Nook Designs 9th Annual Sweet Treats Blog Hop!
The Newton’s Nook Designs Team is hopping along today to share some great Sweet Treats – just in time for Valentine’s day! Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the whole list and hop along and comment for a chance to win!

As my kids are in school now, they have to make “valentines” for their classmates and I figured I would share an easy idea today for all the parents out there! You can have your child do the coloring too! It doesn’t have to be with comics, but it’ll speed things up, and they get to be involved too!

To create these pencil toppers I used the new Newton’s Heart and Puppy Heart stamp sets. I stamped and colored them in using copic markers, then cut them with the respective coordinating dies, Newton’s Heart Die Set and Puppy Heart Die Set.

Next I stamped sentiment from the same stamps sets on to the die cut pieces. For this project I used two that are closest to “will you be my valentine?”. You can also have your children write their friends names one them! Another fun idea would be to make book marks using popsicle sticks instead of pencils! I finished off adding the images to the pencils simply with tape. Off to make some book marks now with my daughter!

If you enjoyed this project and would like to recreate it, it’s your lucky day as Newton’s Nook Designs is having a sale!
