Newton’s Nook Designs August Release – Day 3 – Fall Friends + Coordinating Dies and Heartfelt Gourds

Welcome back for day 3 of reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! Today we are showcasing the Fall Friends stamp set and coordinating dies, along with the Heartfelt Gourds stamp set (that works with the Heart Frames & Banner Trio Dies). Here’s how I was inspired!

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, mostly because I love all things pumpkin, except PSL, can’t stand that one LOL. So you can only imagine my excitement when I saw the Heartfelt Gourds stamp set!

Best things about fall crafting is pumpkins AND Kraft paper!! So of course I had to combine them both on to my first card using the Heartfelt Gourds stamp set! To create this card I started by stamping the Heartfelt Gourds image with brown ink on to craft paper using a stamp positioner. After coloring it, I stamped it again with watermark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder, and die cut it using the largest scallop heart from the Heart Frames Die Set.

I adhered it on to an A2 card front cut from pattern paper, and die cut the word “fall” from the Fall Friends coordinating die set, from the same pattern paper, along with a mini heart. I embossed the “Fall is calling” sentiment from the Heartfelt Gourds stamp set, and cut off the “fall” and trimmed it down to a strip, and added it to the card using some foam tape.

For my second card, I used the Fall Friends stamp set to create a simple scene card. Since the image from the stamp is so detailed, it’s basically as scene! I stamped it with brown ink on to some Kraft paper and colored it using alcohol markers. I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the set on to banner die cut from the Banner Trio Die Set.

I finished off the card, by creating a inked background similar to a fall sun set, and added clouds using the Petite Clouds stencil and some texture paste. Once the paste dried I added the colored image along with the sentiment banner, and a few jewels.
