Happy Monday! It’s reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! Today we are showcasing the Spring Roundabout (works with Circle Frames & Banner Trio Dies) & Basketweave and Bunny Tails Stencils. Here’s how I was inspired!
For my first card I used the Spring Roundabout stamp set to create a shaker card, along with the Basketweave Stencil.
I started by heat embossing the roundabout image with white embossing powder onto heat resistant acetate. Then I used some pattern paper along with the largest two circles from the Circle Frames to create a ‘frame’ for the shaker, I glued it to the acetate, added foam tape and filled it with some sequins that match the pattern paper. Lastly, before adhering the shaker part directly to the card base, I dry embossed the Basketweave Stencil to the kraft card base.
For my second card, I heat embossed the bunny stencil onto some white card stock with white embossing powder. (I just smooshed my ink pad onto the paper with the stencil attached to it.) Then I ink blended (using distress oxides) in a little pastel rainbow, make sure to buff your cardstock after ink blending so the embossing pops! Lastly I added a sentiment from the Spring Roundabout stamp set on to a banner die cut using the Banner Trio Dies.
