Sunflower Mini Slimline | Honey Bee Stamps

Welcome back for day 3 of sneak peaks! Changing things up today and sharing a mini slimline card as an excuse to use the NEW Sweet Stacks: Mini Slimline die cuts! I also used the NEW Lovely Layers: Sunflowers Honey Cuts, which is currently my favourite layered floral.

To create this card, I started by die cutting the largest mini slimline die from dark brown card stock, and used the next size down from kraft paper. I inked up the Kraft piece using a light brown ink using the Basketweave stencil for a tone on tone look. For the sentiment I used the Thanks die cut from matte gold cardstock and stacked it three times.

Lastly, I created the sunflower by starting with die cutting all the pieces of the sunflower once, and the leaf three times. I inked up the leaves using two shades of green. For the sunflower, I inked it up using 3 shades of yellow, and 2 shades of brown for the center. After I finished inking the die cuts, I splattered them with water and black paint. I finished off by stacking with foam tape for added dimension and added it to the card base.

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! We love to see what you create!

Newton’s Nook Designs June Release – Day 1 – Newton’s 4th of July and Buns Out + coordinating Dies, Fireworks Stencil

Happy Monday! It’s reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! Today we are showcasing the Newton’s 4th of July and Buns Out stamp sets and coordinating dies & Fireworks Stencil. Here’s how I was inspired!

If you are ready for all things summer, this release is perfect for you! Make sure to hop along to see what the rest of the team created!

For my first card I used the new Newton’s 4th of July stamp set and the Fireworks Stencil (in two ways). I started by coloring the image on Newton on rocket and die cutting it using the coordinating dies.

I added some texture to the card front by embossing it using Fireworks Stencil and then ink blended the same Fireworks Stencil on some vellum to help the colored image pop. I along embossed the sentiment on the vellum, that I die cut using a large scallop circle from the Circle Frames Die Set.

For my second card I used the Buns Out stamp set to create a mini slimline card (3.5 x 6 inches). I stamped and colored the image twice using copics and then die cut it using the coordinating dies.

To make the images pop, I ink blended some yellow onto the card base and added some splatters, along with the sentiment.

More BRI Mood Board Inspired Shaker + Bonus Card | Butterfly Reflections Ink

Welcome back to the blog! I have a LOT to say, but sometimes letting go is better than yelling. It’s easier said than done, I know! But its worth it cause then you are the bigger person and not the jerk!

I made these shakers using Pretty Pink Posh products using colors from the Butterfly Reflections Ink Mood Board. You can find the details along with links to products I used on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog.

I also shared a mini slimline card! I decided to give this new card size a try! Not sure how I feel about it yet, though!

What do you think? Do you like mini slim lines? Let me know in the comments below!
