Pretty Pink Posh

Make A Wish | Pretty Pink Posh

Happy Friday Eve Y’all! I hope that this week is going by well for you! If not Super Bowl weekend is coming up, which mean A LOT of snacks and football, if you’re into the later LOL!! If you missed it, Pretty Pink Posh is celebrating their 9th birthday! I just placed my order and can’t wait to receive it, but in the mean while, I thought that it might be a good idea to actually use what I have in my stash, that was still BRAND new!

To create this card I started with the inked background using the Layered Candles Stencils. I used distress oxides inks in a rainbow color for the first layer, glitter gel for the second layer and lastly for the candle flames (third layer) I used orange and yellow distress oxide with a layer of glossy accents.

While the background dried, I stamped some of the smaller images from the Birthday Wreath Stamp Set and colored them using copic markers. After coloring I die cut them using the coordinating dies. I embossed the sentiment in white onto a square die cut using the Stitched Banner Duo 1 Dies from black card stock.

Once the inked background was dry, I added the sentiment square, and scattered the colored images around the sentiment and as always, finished off with some sequins!

If you are planning to shop the new Pretty Pink Posh release don’t forget about the freebie and coupon code!

Thanks for following along! I really hope this inspires you to create something new or attempt something you have been avoiding!

Butterfly Birthday Wishes | Pretty Pink Posh

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was such a productive day thanks to the little one being back in daycare! I was so excited to be able to get things done with a million snack and potty breaks! Here’s to hoping that today is just as if not more productive! Popping in bright and early today to share a very quick card that’s simple to make but looks so fancy!

To create this card I started with the Layered Butterfly Stencil from Pretty Pink Posh, inking up the first layer using distress oxide inks in kitsch flamingodried marigoldscattered strawtwisted citrontumbled glass and shaded lilac. I inked up the second layer with the same distress oxide inks, going heavy handed this time. Instead of a top to bottom rainbow, this time I went around the card front instead. I finished of the stenciled image using black soot for the last layer.

I finished off the card by adding a word die cut using the Happy Birthday Script Dies and some sequins.

Newtons Nook Designs

Sandy Scene | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Tuesday y’all! This card is 100% inspired by my sandy vacations plans! It’s been a while since we’ve been to the beach and seeing as summer decided to ditch us here in the PNW, we are 100% ready for some, well A LOT of sun and sand! Maybe a reading a few books too!

To create this card, I started by stamping and coloring the little kitten in the sand castle from the Kitten Beach stamp set with copic markers (sand castle : E42, E43; Kitten : C7, 5, 3; E00, 000; shell : E11, 13) and die cut it using the coordinating Kitten Beach Die Set.

Next I created the background, starting with the “sky” by inking up a piece of A2 card stock using distress oxide ink in salvage patina and tumbled glass. Next I inked up the (new) Palm Tree Stencil about an inch from the bottom using more distress oxide inks (mowed lawn, frayed burlap, and walnut stain).

Last part of the background was to add the Petite Clouds Stencil using some white texture paste. While that dried, I inked up a piece of scrap paper with frayed burlap and walnut stain distress oxide and splatted it with some ground espresso. Once it dried I die cut it with a die similar to the Sea Borders Die Set, making sure it was a bit over 1 inch in width so that it would match up with my palm trees.

Lastly to finish off the card, I stamped and embossed a sentiment in white on to a banner die cut from the Frames & Flags Die Set using black card stock.

Therm O Web & Newton’s Nook Designs collaboration week

Good morning crafty friends! It’s been a minute since I have been on here! Took a break for Eid, and it ended up being long than expected! Excited to be back this week for the  Newton’s Nook Designs and Therm O Web collaboration week with fabulous inspiration week (check here for day 1 and day 2!)

All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to use Therm O Web products with Newton’s Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win!

I combined multiple Therm O Web products, along with some of my favorite Newton’s Nook Designs stamps and stencils to create these cards.

To create this card I started by inking up the first layer of Butterflies Stencil Set using distress oxide ink (I used saltwater taffy, dried marigold, twisted citron and tumbled glass). I used the detailed stencil from the set to add a layer of  Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo. Once it dried, I ran it through my Minc Machine with a sheet of Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets (in Tuscan Gold).

I embossed a sentiment in gold embossing powder from the Heartfelt Butterflies stamp set on to a banner die cut from Banner Trio Die Set. I wanted to add a little more dimension to the card, so I embossed two of the butterfly images from the Monarchs on to vellum with gold embossing powder and fussy cut them, and adhered them to my card with a little foam tape. And as always, finished off my card with some jewels.

There are more amazing projects today over on the Therm O Web blog so pop over there for more inspiration!

Would you like to win a $40 store credit Therm O Web or to Newton’s Nook Designs? Visit the Newton’s Nook Designs blog and the Therm O Web Blog for a chance to win! Both companies will be giving away a prize this week!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!

Pink Fresh Studios

Citrus Blooms | Pink Fresh Studios

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends! I hope that your weekend is relaxing and filled with a ton of crafty time! I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and try out the latest trend of layered stencils for coloring floral stamps! Today I am using the Citrus Bloom stamp from Pink Fresh Studios with the coordinating Citrus Bloom Layering Stencils.

To create this card I started with an A2 piece of white card stock to match the guidelines and I found it easier to ink first, then add the stamped image.

I started with inking up the flowers on the image using distress oxide ink in Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet.

Next I ink blended the leaves using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.

The last layer of ink blending was the fruits. I used Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade for the oranges and Squeezed Lemon and Scattered Straw for the lemons.

Once I was done inking I used VersaMark watermark ink and Lawn Fawn gold embossing powder to emboss the Citrus Bloom stamp onto the inked panel.

Lastly I die cut the images using the coordinating dies, and also diecut the Simply Diamonds cover die from green card stock, the sentiment “hello” from the Darling Dahlias die cuts to assemble the card.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!
