Fall Rainbow | Honeybee Stamps

Hi! Back again sharing a simple rainbow card, but with fall tones instead of bright! I don’t know if you have noticed or not, but Fall is one of my favorite seasons to craft for!

To create this card, I started by cutting down a A2 size card front from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. Next I stamped and embossed (in gold) the Harvest Blooms Background. While heat setting it, the paper warped a tad bit, so I ran it though my die cutting machine to flatten it out.

Next I inked it up in rainbow order using muted colors, perfect for fall! I finished off with some jewels and a stacked die cut “hello” from the Darling Dahlias die cuts.

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! We love to see what you create!

Sew Sweet Card | Honeybee Stamps

Happy Thursday! I don’t about you, but I’m ready for the weekend AND a LOT of crafty time! If you are crafting, here’s a little inspiration using a combination of stamps from Honey Bee Stamps.

One day I’ll create a card using these stamps and a stitched background, till then you get to be inspired by the Quilted Cover Plate that I embossed on to an A2 piece of white card stock instead of die cutting. I love that the square look more like a real quilt. I added a little blend of blue ink on to the embossed background to create a highlight for the colored images.

Next up I stamped the sewing machine from the Sew Special stamp set, along with the all the ‘sewing’ themed stamps from the Let’s Get Crafty stamp set. I colored them in and die cut/fussy cut out the colored images and arranged them over the blue inked area of the card front.

Lastly I embossed the sentiment from Sew Special in white on to black card stock and cut it part, and stacked it under the images to create a staggered look. And of course I added some jewels to finish off the card.

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! We love to see what you create!

Darling Dahlias | Honeybee Stamps

I love flowers but hate gardening, so coloring flower stamps are pretty much the next best thing! Dahlias are so common in PNW in the fall, but I still can’t get enough of them! I love picking them up at the farmers market!

To create this card, I started by stamping all the images from the all the images from the Darling Dahlias stamp set (I ended up using only one of the large flowers) with intense black ink on to heavy weight white card stock. I colored then in using copic markers (combinations listed below) and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

To create the background, I created a blue inked ombre background using distress oxide inks, once dry, I layered it with the basketweave stencil and added some white pigment ink (one of my fav techniques! Once it dried, I arranged the flower using foam tape for dimension, added jewels to match and finished off with a die cut sentiment “hello” from the bitty buzzwords die set.

Copic Combos : RV63, 66, 69 and YG03, 63, 67

Birthday Gnomes | Mama Elephant

Back after enjoying some time of social media, not really time off since I planned my first party in almost two years! It was so good to see friends, celebrate my little one and enjoy the summer weather!

If you haven’t seen these posts (here and here), I have been dusting off my Mama Elephant stamps (#hoarder) and sharing entries for the #mamaelephant2021gdcall! Today’s card was a special one as I custom made it for my close friends birthday, and if you can’t tell, she loves gnomes!!!

To creat this card, I started by stamping all the images (didn’t end up using them all!) and multiples of the gnomes holding the sign, from the Little Gnome Agenda stamp set. I colored them in rainbow colors, added the letters of my friends name using the little alphabet stamps from the Little Signage Agenda stamp set. I die cut the gnomes using the coordinating dies.

Next I created the scene to add the gnome, starting with the Slim Card Basics die set from Mama Elephant. I die cut the scallop rectangle once and the stitched rectangle 4 times. Then I die cut 3 of the 4 stitched rectangles with the Slimline Horizon Borders from Honey Bee Stamps. I inked them with shades of green to add the “hills” and “grass”, and used the Petite Clouds Stencil from Newton’s Nook Designs on the forth die cut to create the sky. I added the layers with foam tape, ending with a very thick card, but I wasn’t to worried as I wasn’t mailing it!

To finish off the card, I started by adding the die cut gnome images, some with glue, some with foam tape for added dimension, and accented them with some flowers from Pretty Pink Posh’s Bunny Friends Stamp Set. Lastly, I remembered that I did not add my sentiment! Quickly stamped one from the Simple Sentiments Stamp Set, this is a perfect example where the tiny sentiments save the day!

As mentioned before I am adding this as an entry to the #MamaElephantCD2021Call! You can find my previous entries here and here.

Embossed Shaker Birthday Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Hump Day! I keep thinking it’s Tuesday, so I clearly need to get started on my extremely long to do list! So let’s keep it short and sweet here and get straight to the card!

This card is possibly my most CAS card yet! I love the end result and it was so quick and easy to make! Just make sure that you have heat resistant acetate!

To create this card, I started by dry embossing the small balloon stencil from Layering Balloons Stencils on to an A2 piece of white paper. Next I die cut the shadow die from the Birthday die cut set to create the shaker window. I heat embossed the word birthday from the Birthday stamp set with white embossing powder and the happy on to a strip of black card stock. I created the shaker window by layering the acetate behind the die cut window with liquid adhesive, and added lots of foam tape to create “box”, filled it with the latest fad, clay confetti! and backed it with an A2 piece of card stock. Lastly I added the strip sentiment to finish off the card!

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! We love to see what you create!

Red, White and Blue Week | Honey Bee Stamps

If you haven’t already noticed already on Instagram, Honey Bee Stamps has started the party early for 4th July! There’s a bunch of lives, giveaways and a sale is coming! Stay tuned!

Y’all know that I’ve been loving layered ink blending, with white pigment ink! So, of course I pulled it out for my take on a “red, white and blue” card.

To create this card, I started by inking up the large balloon stencil from Layering Balloons Stencils using distress oxide inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Festive Berries. Then I used the Stars and Stripes Forever Background Stencil, along with white pigment ink to add some depth to the balloons. I made a similar card, here.

I finished off the card with word die cuts from Bitty Buzzwords and Birthday die cut sets, cutting the words from black card stock. Lastly I added some jewels to match the ink blending!

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty this long weekend!

Watercolored Floral CAS card | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Hump Day! I’ve had a pretty productive day, probably motivated by girls night out in a few hours! So who else owns a billion water colors and doesn’t use any of them? Guilty! I loved the hand drawn images in the Riding By stamp set, and thought it would look perfect with some messy watercoloring.

I love my foam tape, and that’s probably why I have such a hard time making CAS cards! But I tried to not add TOO much dimension and left A LOT of white space!

I started by gold embossing the basket, a branch and the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment from the Riding By stamp set directly onto the card base (I used Canson XL watercolor paper). Then I heat embossed the floral bunch and some extra branches. I colored them all in with some watercolors and let it air dry. Then I die cut the layered images with the coordinating dies, and adhered them with some foam tape. Lastly, I added some gems.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope that you are keeping cool, its been HOT here in the PNW and all I want to do is sleep!

Vellum Florals | Honeybee Stamps

Happy Hump Day! Sharing a card today using my new crafty favorite, white pigment ink! I don’t know why I haven’t used it before!

To create this card, I started by ink blending an A2 card panel with a blue, purple and pink ink. Then I added white pigment ink using the Whimsical Hearts stencil. I created a stacked word die cut sentiment from the Bitty Buzzwords die set.

When I placed it on the inked background, it got lost a bit, so I backed it with a floral stamp from Farm Fresh Flowers stamp set stamped and embossed on vellum. And as usual I finished off the card with some jewels!

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! We love to see what you create!

CAS birthday card | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Wednesday! Tomorrow is Eid, so I got TONS to do popping in with a quick birthday card with minimum coloring!

To create this card, I stared by die cutting an ombre purple sheet from the Playful Pastels paper pad with the Quatrefoil A2 Cover Plate – Top. I adhered it to an A2 top folding notecard, added stacked diecuts from the Bitty Buzzwords die set, cut from black card stock. Lastly I accented the card with some floral images from the Fancy Frosting stamp set, that I colored but hadn’t previously used!

I’ve recently been loving making quick and easy CAS cards, I hope that you are enjoying them too!

Rainbow Balloons | Honey Bee Stamps

What type of card do you make the most? For me it was thank you cards, now it’s birthday cards (I still have to work on the sending part!). And when a brand has a birthday themed release, you know that I’m all for it! Thanks to Honey Bee Stamps I finally have a balloon stencil!

Stencils and ink blending are one of the easiest ways to create a quick but fancy looking card! To create this card, I started with an A2 piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and adhered the large balloon stencil. I inked it up in rainbow order using distress oxides in Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet. The I used the second layer of smaller balloons with white pigment ink to create a shadow look.

I finished off the card with a stacked ‘happy birthday’ die cuts from Bitty Buzzwords die set.

This card is part of the Honey Bee Stamps Instagram hop. So head over to my Instagram to start hopping and be inspired!

Thanks for stopping by! Till the next time stay safe!
