Happy March! One of the busiest months of the year for me, and I feel like I’m already playing catch up as I completely forget that I was supposed to post this card today! So here we are posting after dinner, before finishing the dishes and finishing up a project due tomorrow!
I might be running behind on blogging, but I am ahead of the seasons with a Mother’s Day card! I used some of my favorite floral stamps from Newton’s Nook Designs, I have a feeling they will be making more appearances on the blog in the next couple of months!

To create this card, I started by dry embossing the Basketweave Stencil on to an A2 sheet of cardstock, then cut a large circle out of the panel using the Circle Frames Die Set, and backed it with acetate to be the shaker front. Next I stamped and embossed the Floral Roundabout Stamp Set in white and ink blended over it using Distress Oxide Inks (in x, y, and z). I filled the shaker with coordinating sequins.

Next, I stamped and colored the image from the Daffodils Stamp Set using copic markers and die cut it using the coordinating Daffodils Die Set. I added it to the front of the shaker and finished off the card with the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment, stamped from the Mom & Dad Stamp Set onto a stitched banner die cut from the Banner Trio Die Set.

Please make sure to stop by the Newton’s Nook Designs Blog for more inspiration and don’t forget to tag #NewtonsNook or #NewtonsNookDesign on Instagram to share what you created!
Happy crafting!
