Espresso Your Love | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Monday Crafty Friends! I hope that y’all have a great start to the week! I have big hopes for this week, so let’s see if I actually get though my to do list and get a chance to craft! SO many things have piled up as I have been trying to get a NOT broken piece of furniture! We finally decided to return it and order one online! Here’s to hoping the new one is in ONE piece!

Okay, enough life updates, let’s get to today’s card! I’m not super into Valentines, BUT I am into coffee, so I used this an opportunity to use my valentines coffee stamp to make a card!

To create this card, I started by inking up an A2 piece of card stock using the Petite Hearts Stencil and some light pink ink, I tried to do a bit of an ombre ink blending. Next I stamped the pair of mugs from the Love Café Stamp Set and colored it, and die cut it using the coordinating Love Café Die Set.

Next I die cut a scalloped heart using the Heart Frames Die Set from a sheet of pattern paper from the Love & Chocolate Paper Pad. I also die cut a banner from a scrap piece from the same paper pad using the Banner Trio Die Set, along with one from pink card stock.

I white heat embossed a sentiment from Love Café Stamp Set on to the pink banner, and the large image from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set on to vellum. After heat setting I die cut the vellum using a stitched heart from the Heart Frames Die Set.

I finally I layered all the pieces together using a combination of glue and foam tape, and of course some sequins!

Warm Wintery Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday! Hope that y’all are having a great start to the week! It’s a busy week here in real life as its the last week of school, so trying to get as much done in my kid free time!

I’m up on the Newton’s Nook Blog today sharing a birthday card inspired by the cold weather we have had recently!

To create this card, I started by playing around with the coffee mug images from the Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set, lining them up along the longer side of an A2 card. Since was going to do partial die cutting, I needed space them well to be able to die cut with space in-between. Once stamped I colored them using copic markers, shown below.

After coloring, I used the coordinating dies to partially die cut all of the images, and then trimmed off the rest of the paper using a craft knife. Next I stamped a sentiment from the Time For Coffee Stamp Set on the front of the card.

As this was a partial die cut card, you can see to into the card, so I decided to add some pattern paper from the Canine Christmas Paper Pad along with stamping a coordinating sentiment inside the card, from the same Time For Coffee Stamp Set.

Coffee

Leaves and Lattes Card

Hello crafty friends! I hope that your week is going well! I have been trying to come on here since Monday, so clearly my week has been busy! Can’t wait to wrap up some real life projects to that I can get back to fall crafting, as it’s my favorite time of year to craft as I LOVE all things fall, including ALL the coffee stamps that are released! I was so excited to be able to add the Fall Calls for Lattes stamp set to my collection!

To create this card :

I started by stamping all latte and leaves from the Fall Calls for Lattes stamp set on to heavy weight white paper with Honey Bee Stamps Intense Black Ink and colored it using copic markers.

These are the copic markers that I used.

Next I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and played around with my layout, I ended up not using all the pieces that I colored.

I stamped and embossing the sentiment using VersaFine Ink in Onyx Black and clear embossing powder, and ink blended on to the center of the card front to highlight the colored die cuts using Salvaged Patina distress oxide.

I finished off the card by gluing everything together using a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive, and adding a few jewels.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Greenery and Coffee | Newton’s Nook Design

Happy Thursday! Well it’s basically a few hours to Friday, which means it pretty much the weekend! I missed the February Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge, but I really wanted to make sure that I sneak on into the March challenge, Green.

I stretched “green” to greenery” and added a lot of foliage to my coffee mugs! And since it’s winter on my card I added some whipped cream topping!

To create this card, I started by stamping the image from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set twice and die cut it with the mug die cuts from the Mugs and Kisses die set. I colored in the images using copic markers and added the whipped cream die cuts that I covered with some glitter nuvo drops, and set aside to dry.

Next I created the background for the card by embossing Holiday Foliage Stencil onto some green cardstock. I also die cut a banner from the Banner Trio Die Set from and embossed a sentiment from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set on to it. I also die cut a scalloped oval from vellum using the Oval Frames Die Set to add behind mug to help them pop. As always, I finished off with some jewels.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something and you get some crafty time this weekend!

Books, Coffee and Snowfall | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Friday crafty friends! Hope you’re all having a great start to the new year. Popping in this Friday to share my first Newton’s Nook Designs card as them as part of their design team this year. Chase card is inspired by unusually, unexpected levels of snowfall in the Northwest this past December. We did not have a white Christmas, but we had lots of snow to make up for it through New Year’s.

To create this card I started by stamping the image of the girl from the Sips & Stories Stamp Set and colored it using copic markers (R05, 08, 14, 17, 22; Y15, 35; B02, 05; C00, 5, 7; E13, 15, 27, 34, 37, 57, 59) and die cut it using the coordinating  Sips & Stories Die Set

Next I created the card front using the Serene Stripes Stencil to dry emboss the striped pattern, and die cut a window from the panel to create a shaker using the Snow Globe Shaker Die Set.

Next, I created the shaker using distress oxide inks in Kitsch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina, and added glitter accents using the Petite Snow Stencil, and filled it with some clay confetti pieces.

Lastly, I embossed the “I’m so glad that you’re part of my story” which is embossed in gold onto black cardstock and fussy cut before adding it to my card front.

I hope these cards inspire you to create something winter themed! Please make sure to stop by the Newton’s Nook Designs Blog for more inspiration and don’t forget to tag #NewtonsNook or #NewtonsNookDesign on Instagram to share what you created!

Sweet Treats | Mama Elephant

Happy Friday Crafty Caffeinated Friends! I’m up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today with a guest post! Thank you CLC and Amy for having me again! I’m usually a layer it up card maker, but today I decided to attempt a CAS card inspired by the first challenge from the new Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge, Snowflakes and my winter break being stuck in the snow!

To create this card, I started by stamping the mug image from Mama Elephant’s Hot Cocoa Stamp Set and the other two images from the Sweet Treats Stamp Set with copic friendly ink and colored them in using copic markers. One colored I die cut them using the coordinating dies (Sweet Treats and Hot Cocoa).

To assemble the card, I started by dry embossing an A2 card front using the Snowfall Stencil from Newton’s Nook Designs. I layered the images using some foam tape to add a little dimension. I stamped and embossed a sentiment from the Sweet Treats Stamp Set on to a piece of black paper, and trimmed it down. As always I added some jewels to my card to finish it off.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something and you get some crafty time this weekend!

Thanks a Latte (in the Fall) | Honey Bee Stamps

Two posts in one day! Woah what! After my cleaning session, I had a few minutes before the dishwasher and dryer were done, and with two kids napping, I figured I’d get a little crafty time in and finished another card to sneak into the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

For this card, I paired some fall and winter products from Honey Bee Stamps cause I am not yet ready to let go of fall! I also finally attempted and successfully created a full panel shaker card!

To create this card, I started by created the shaker using this method and the Autumn Splendor Cover Plate and added it to a top folding A2 card front.

Next I created the mugs using the Mugs and Kisses die set along with the Darling Dahlias stamp set. I colored in the flowers with copics and then used a copic BG11 to color around it. I stamped the latte art from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and ink blended over it with some brown distress ink and die cut it using the coordinating die.

Lastly I built the sentiment with the “thanks a” from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and the “latte” from the Bitty Buzzwords: Fall die set cut from matte gold paper.

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! Happy Friday y’all! It’s been a long but thankfully productive week! Just finished a baking session and thought that I would take a break and share a pair for card before starting a cleaning session!

It’s the last day of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, and Newton’s Nook Designs is having a sale, so I thought I’d share some inspiration using the new stamp from their November release that are also included in the sale!

I made a pair of cards using my new favorite coffee products (including the new Coffee House Stories Paper Pad!) from Newton’s Nook Designs.

For my first card, I started by stamping and coloring some of the images from the Time For Coffee stamp set using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating Time For Coffee Die Set. I stamped and embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set on to a stitched banner diecut from the Bookmark Die Set.

I assembled the card on a A2 Kraft card base, firstly adding two strips of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad. Next I added the colored images layered with the sentiment banner and finished off with some jewels as always!

For the second card, I used the same Time For Coffee stamp set, this time coloring and die cutting some of the other images and coloring them with copic markers. This time I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a stitched circle die cut from vellum, I cut using the Circle Frames Die Set

I assembled this card on a A2 Kraft card base also, starting with two strips of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad. Next I added the colored images layered with the vellum circle and finished off with some jewels as always!

Coffee and Friends | Pawsome Stamps

Happy Thursday! It’s been a busy day, and I still have a ton of baking to get done to done, but I needed to take a minute so I finished a card as nap times aligned! And since we still have a few more limits, lets see if I can get this on the blog! I created a coffee card for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I’ve recently been creating card with colored pieces that I stash away! So today’s card uses this fun coffee mugs from Pawsome Stamps Coffee Besties Stamp Set.

Since the images where already stamped, colored and fussy cut, it only took a few minutes to put the card together. I started by trimming down a sheet of pattern paper to an A2 size and die cut a window in it using the Window Frames Die from Pretty Pink Posh. I adhered the die cut card from to an Kraft card base.

I stamped a sentiment from the Coffee Besties Stamp Set in the windows and added the coffee mugs to the card using some foam tape. And as always I finished off the card with some confetti.

Hope you enjoyed this coffee theme card today! Make sure you head over to the Coffee Lovers Blog to find out how you can link up your card to play along! There are a TON of prizes, including one from Pawsome Stamps.
