Espresso Your Love | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Monday Crafty Friends! I hope that y’all have a great start to the week! I have big hopes for this week, so let’s see if I actually get though my to do list and get a chance to craft! SO many things have piled up as I have been trying to get a NOT broken piece of furniture! We finally decided to return it and order one online! Here’s to hoping the new one is in ONE piece!

Okay, enough life updates, let’s get to today’s card! I’m not super into Valentines, BUT I am into coffee, so I used this an opportunity to use my valentines coffee stamp to make a card!

To create this card, I started by inking up an A2 piece of card stock using the Petite Hearts Stencil and some light pink ink, I tried to do a bit of an ombre ink blending. Next I stamped the pair of mugs from the Love Café Stamp Set and colored it, and die cut it using the coordinating Love Café Die Set.

Next I die cut a scalloped heart using the Heart Frames Die Set from a sheet of pattern paper from the Love & Chocolate Paper Pad. I also die cut a banner from a scrap piece from the same paper pad using the Banner Trio Die Set, along with one from pink card stock.

I white heat embossed a sentiment from Love Café Stamp Set on to the pink banner, and the large image from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set on to vellum. After heat setting I die cut the vellum using a stitched heart from the Heart Frames Die Set.

I finally I layered all the pieces together using a combination of glue and foam tape, and of course some sequins!

Warm Wintery Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday! Hope that y’all are having a great start to the week! It’s a busy week here in real life as its the last week of school, so trying to get as much done in my kid free time!

I’m up on the Newton’s Nook Blog today sharing a birthday card inspired by the cold weather we have had recently!

To create this card, I started by playing around with the coffee mug images from the Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set, lining them up along the longer side of an A2 card. Since was going to do partial die cutting, I needed space them well to be able to die cut with space in-between. Once stamped I colored them using copic markers, shown below.

After coloring, I used the coordinating dies to partially die cut all of the images, and then trimmed off the rest of the paper using a craft knife. Next I stamped a sentiment from the Time For Coffee Stamp Set on the front of the card.

As this was a partial die cut card, you can see to into the card, so I decided to add some pattern paper from the Canine Christmas Paper Pad along with stamping a coordinating sentiment inside the card, from the same Time For Coffee Stamp Set.

Pumpkin Spice and Fall Leaves | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back to my crafty corner on the internet! Always grateful for y’all stopping by! So, how many stamps are too many on one card? Well, let’s keep count and circle back after the card details have been shared!

I love fall crafting and this card is a true representation of that love! To create this card, I started by stamping the image from Newton’s Mug, before starting to color, I also stamped the pumpkin in the center from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp set. I colored the image using copic markers (shown below), and die cut it out using the coordinating Newton’s Mug Die Set.

I assembled the card, starting with a card base dry embossed using the Falling Leaves Stencil. Next I heat embossed the image from the Fall Fringe stamp set in gold on to vellum, I trimmed it down using my paper trimmer, and offset it on the card base.

For the sentiment, I used one from the Signs of Fall stamp set, and embossed it in gold, on to a banner die cut from the Frames & Flags Die Set and teal card stock. Lastly I added the colored image to finish off the card.

So, what do you think, too many stamp sets? I’ll try and make a simple card next time!

Coffee

Leaves and Lattes Card

Hello crafty friends! I hope that your week is going well! I have been trying to come on here since Monday, so clearly my week has been busy! Can’t wait to wrap up some real life projects to that I can get back to fall crafting, as it’s my favorite time of year to craft as I LOVE all things fall, including ALL the coffee stamps that are released! I was so excited to be able to add the Fall Calls for Lattes stamp set to my collection!

To create this card :

I started by stamping all latte and leaves from the Fall Calls for Lattes stamp set on to heavy weight white paper with Honey Bee Stamps Intense Black Ink and colored it using copic markers.

These are the copic markers that I used.

Next I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and played around with my layout, I ended up not using all the pieces that I colored.

I stamped and embossing the sentiment using VersaFine Ink in Onyx Black and clear embossing powder, and ink blended on to the center of the card front to highlight the colored die cuts using Salvaged Patina distress oxide.

I finished off the card by gluing everything together using a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive, and adding a few jewels.

Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!

Cup of Cocoa | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Monday y’all! I hope that you had a great crafty and caffeinated weekend! Popping in today with a winter themed card, incase you are done with holiday crafting, but still not ready to move on to Valentines!

I started this card by stamping ALL the images from the Cup of Cocoa stamp set on to white card stock and colored them with copic markers (sorry no combos as I used so many I made a mess and lost track!). Once the coloring was done, I fussy cut the images (I finally ordered the die, they just haven’t arrived yet!)

I die cut a stitch square and using some thin washi tape to make a grid that I then inked up using some distress oxide ink in a rainbow order. After removing the wash, I stamped a sentiment in the center square and added the colored images using foam tape. As always I finished off the card using some jewels and adding the card front to a 5 x 5 Kraft card base.

I hope these cards inspire you to create something winter themed! Please make sure to stop by the Newton’s Nook Designs Blog for more inspiration and don’t forget to tag #NewtonsNook or #NewtonsNookDesign on Instagram to share what you created!

Thanks a Latte (in the Fall) | Honey Bee Stamps

Two posts in one day! Woah what! After my cleaning session, I had a few minutes before the dishwasher and dryer were done, and with two kids napping, I figured I’d get a little crafty time in and finished another card to sneak into the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

For this card, I paired some fall and winter products from Honey Bee Stamps cause I am not yet ready to let go of fall! I also finally attempted and successfully created a full panel shaker card!

To create this card, I started by created the shaker using this method and the Autumn Splendor Cover Plate and added it to a top folding A2 card front.

Next I created the mugs using the Mugs and Kisses die set along with the Darling Dahlias stamp set. I colored in the flowers with copics and then used a copic BG11 to color around it. I stamped the latte art from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and ink blended over it with some brown distress ink and die cut it using the coordinating die.

Lastly I built the sentiment with the “thanks a” from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and the “latte” from the Bitty Buzzwords: Fall die set cut from matte gold paper.

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop | Newton’s Nook Designs

Happy Friday y’all! It’s been a long but thankfully productive week! Just finished a baking session and thought that I would take a break and share a pair for card before starting a cleaning session!

It’s the last day of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, and Newton’s Nook Designs is having a sale, so I thought I’d share some inspiration using the new stamp from their November release that are also included in the sale!

I made a pair of cards using my new favorite coffee products (including the new Coffee House Stories Paper Pad!) from Newton’s Nook Designs.

For my first card, I started by stamping and coloring some of the images from the Time For Coffee stamp set using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating Time For Coffee Die Set. I stamped and embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set on to a stitched banner diecut from the Bookmark Die Set.

I assembled the card on a A2 Kraft card base, firstly adding two strips of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad. Next I added the colored images layered with the sentiment banner and finished off with some jewels as always!

For the second card, I used the same Time For Coffee stamp set, this time coloring and die cutting some of the other images and coloring them with copic markers. This time I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a stitched circle die cut from vellum, I cut using the Circle Frames Die Set

I assembled this card on a A2 Kraft card base also, starting with two strips of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad. Next I added the colored images layered with the vellum circle and finished off with some jewels as always!

Newton’s Nook Designs November Release – Day 1 – Time for Coffee + coordinating Dies, Coffee House Stories Paper Pad

Happy Monday! It’s reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! This release is probably my favorite of the year! Coffee and Books, it was made for me! Today we are showcasing the Time for Coffee stamp set along with the coordinating Dies, and a new paper pad, Coffee House Stories! Here’s how I was inspired!

The Coffee House Stories is my crafty wish come true on paper! After the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad was released, I was like we have to have a coffee one! So of course I had to use them on almost all my cards! And more cards are on the way! This is one paper pad I won’t be hoarding!

For my first card, I used a sheet of the paper paper as my inspiration! I stamped and colored the to – go mug from the Time for Coffee stamp set using copic markers and dir cutting it using the coordinating dies. I crated the back ground for the card using a Kraft card base, and a sheet from the Coffee House Stories pattern paper pad.

I finished off by stamping a sentiment from the same Time for Coffee stamp set on to a pink strip of paper and attached the colored die cuts on it, and lastly, like all my cards, added some jewels!

I loved the Coffee House Stories pattern paper pad so much, I had to create a second card using some older products that coordinate perfectly with it! To create this card, I started by stamping and coloring Newton from Newton’s Mug and die cutting using the coordinating Newton’s Mug Die, I stamped the image a second time on to a sheet of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories pattern paper pad and paper pieced it on to the colored die cut.

For the card base, I embossed Mugs Stencil on to some craft paper, added a strip of pattern paper from the Coffee House Stories paper pad that matched the colored image. I finished off the cards by stamping a sentiment from the Time for Coffee stamp set on to a banner cut from the Banner Trio Die Set and a few jewels.

National Coffee Day | Honey Bee Stamps

You really thought I could let “National Coffee Day” go buy without making a coffee themed card! I’m all for made up holidays, esp ones that involve coffee! Be sure to head over the the Coffee Loving Card Makers Blog for more inspiration!

I used one of my favorite coffee stamp from Honey Bee Stamps, Treat Yo Self to create this cozy fall themed coffee card.

To create this card, I started by stamping three of the coffee mug images from the Treat Yo Self using black ink on to heavy weight card stock. I colored the images using copic marker and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set onto pink card stock and cut it using the coordinating die cut.

Next I created the background using the Sweet Stacks Rectangle Dies, along with the Gingham Galore : Fall paper pad and the Cable Knit Sweater stencil. I inked up the stencil using Tumbled Glass and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks along with white pigment ink. After the inked panel dried, I added the colored die cuts using foam tape, and finished off with some jewels.

I hope that this inspires you to create something crafty at the end of your day! If you do, and share on Instagram, be sure to tag me (@everydayengineered) and Honey Bee Stamps (@honeybeestamps)! We love to see what you create!

Love you S’more | Coffee Loving Cardmakers

Happy Friday! Welcome back for my last caffeinated card as guest designer on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog! It’s been a wild month for so, I’m so glad that I got to craft as a distraction! As much as I love summer, I am ready for all things FALL! It’s already looking like fall in my craftroom, as you can tell from today’s card, along with the one that I shared last week!

Copic Combos : 0, N0; BG 10, 11, 13; YR 14, 15, 12; E 57, 37, 15, 13

For today’s card, I started by stamping ALL the images from Honey Bee Stamps Love you S’more stamp set. I colored them using copic markers (listed above) and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Then I created the background for the images to pop on, using some Gina K Blue Lagoon Ink and Newton Nook Designs Mug Stencil. Alternating between foam tape and glue, I adhered the colored images to the card front. I created the sentiment using the new Bitty Buzzwords Fall Diecuts along with the Bitty Buzzwords Fall Stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps latest release. I stacked the word die cut “latte” three times using kraft paper, and embossed and cut off the “lets” from the “let’s get together” on a strip of brown cardstock. Lastly I added some jewels to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great weekend and I hope you get some crafty time! Thank you Amy for this lovely opportunity!

Happy Crafting!
