Layer Die Shaker Card | #racismisaviruscardhop

Happy Hump Day! Welcome to the #racismisaviruscardhop! Please head over to naushabuloushandmade on Instagram to hop along.

I made a card inspired by my time in Vietnam (I need to share pictures of that, one day!)

I ink blended an A2 card panel with my Taylored Expression blending brushes and fired brick distress oxide ink. The I die cut the outline of the flower and leaf using the Layered Rose Die Set from Altenew. I die cut the details, along with the Thinking of You Script Die from golden glitter paper. I layered the die cut card front and added a LOT of foam tape to create the shaker window. Filled it with some older Pretty Pink Posh star sequins. Finished off my adding the glitter die cuts and some gold jewels.

This card was inspired by Ink Hill Revival. Thanks for always inspiring us!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

Happy crafting!

More BRI Mood Board Inspired Shaker + Bonus Card | Butterfly Reflections Ink

Welcome back to the blog! I have a LOT to say, but sometimes letting go is better than yelling. It’s easier said than done, I know! But its worth it cause then you are the bigger person and not the jerk!

I made these shakers using Pretty Pink Posh products using colors from the Butterfly Reflections Ink Mood Board. You can find the details along with links to products I used on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog.

I also shared a mini slimline card! I decided to give this new card size a try! Not sure how I feel about it yet, though!

What do you think? Do you like mini slim lines? Let me know in the comments below!

Newton’s Nook Designs February Release – Day 4 – Newton’s Rainy Day Trio and Daffodils + coordinating Dies

Welcome back for Day 3 of reveal week at Newton’s Nook Designs. Today we are showcasing the Rainy Day Trio and Daffodils stamp set and coordinating Dies. Here’s how I was inspired.

Save the best for last, right! These two sets are my favorite from the release!

For my first card, I made a slimline card using the new Daffodils stamp set. I colored them using copic markers and die cut them. Then using the Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set and Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set, I die cut a white scalloped rectangle along with squares out of green pattern paper. For the center of the card, before stamping the sentiment, I layered the Slimline Masking Circles & Squares Stencil Set along with the Petite Flowers Stencil and inked it up with some yellow ink. Lastly, I added the daffodils with some foam tape and a few sequins.

For my second card, I colored the Newton’s Rainy Day Trio stamp set using zig real brush markers in a rainbow manner, die cut and set it aside. To create the background, I started by embossing a light blue piece of cardstock using the Raindrops Stencil, then I used the same stencil to ink up a piece of vellum with blue pigment ink and quickly added glitter embossing powder before the ink dried. I embossed the sentiment and die cut the vellum using a scalloped circle from the Circle Frames Die Set.

Newton’s Nook Designs February Release – Day 3 – Baa + coordinating Dies

Welcome back for Day 3 of reveal week at Newton’s Nook Designs. Today we are showcasing the Baa stamp set and coordinating Dies. Here’s how I was inspired.

To create this card, I stamped, copic colored and die cut all the sheep from the Baa stamp set (one didn’t fit on the card!). The I create a inked cloud background using tumbled glass distress ink and the Clouds Stencil. Then I die cut circles from the Circle Frames die set, and inked them using the Hills & Grass Stencil and mowed lawn distress ink. I finished off the card with a sentiment from the same Baa stamp set, and adhering the sheep with foam tape for some added dimension.

Would you like to win the “Baa” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Newton’s Nook Designs February Release – Day 2 – Hoppy Greetings and Hare Mail + coordinating Dies

Welcome back for Day 2 of reveal week at Newton’s Nook Designs. Today we are showcasing the Hoppy Greetings and Hare Mail stamp set and coordinating Dies. Here’s how I was inspired.

For both my cards, I wanted the images from the Hoppy Greetings and Hare Mail to be the focus of the card, so didn’t add to much to the background.

For my first card using the Hoppy Greetings stamp set, I stamped, die cut and added a little shading to the bunny and colored the grass and flower. Then I paper pieced the ‘sign’ with some woodgrain pattern paper and heat embossed the sentiment. To create the background I used light blue card stick and did a little tone on tone ink blending with the Clouds Stencil to create a sky and using the Hills & Grass Stencil I traced and cut a hill out of pattern paper and inked on some grass.

For my second card, I did a little ink smooshing to create a watercolor rainbow on watercolor paper trimmed down using the scallop rectangle from , and added the bunny from Hare Mail stamp set. I used a sentiment from the Hoppy Greeting to finish off the Frames & Flags Die Set.

Would you like to win the “Hoppy Greetings” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Spring Bliss Release Sneak Peak Day 3 | Honey Bee Stamps

Good Morning and welcome to day 3 of Sneak Peaks for the Spring Bliss release from Honey Bee Stamps.

Today I stepped out of my comfort zone and used layering dies! Maybe one day I’ll use layering stamps too!

I started by diecutting all the pieces of both the flowers, along with the leaves from the Lovely Layers: Easter Lily die set from white cardstock. Then I ink blended them to add color (using distress oxides in spun sugar, festive berries, moved lawn, scattered straw and black soot) and dimension before layering them.

I didn’t want to take away from the flowers, so I kept the rest of the card simple, adding the leaves and lilies to a kraft background, and finishing off with a sentiment from the Spring Joy Bouquet stamp set.

Newton’s Nook Designs February Release – Day 1 – Spring Roundabout, Basketweave and Bunny Tails Stencils

Happy Monday! It’s reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! Today we are showcasing the Spring Roundabout (works with Circle Frames & Banner Trio Dies)  & Basketweave and Bunny Tails Stencils. Here’s how I was inspired!

For my first card I used the Spring Roundabout stamp set to create a shaker card, along with the Basketweave Stencil.

I started by heat embossing the roundabout image with white embossing powder onto heat resistant acetate. Then I used some pattern paper along with the largest two circles from the Circle Frames to create a ‘frame’ for the shaker, I glued it to the acetate, added foam tape and filled it with some sequins that match the pattern paper. Lastly, before adhering the shaker part directly to the card base, I dry embossed the Basketweave Stencil to the kraft card base.

For my second card, I heat embossed the bunny stencil onto some white card stock with white embossing powder. (I just smooshed my ink pad onto the paper with the stencil attached to it.) Then I ink blended (using distress oxides) in a little pastel rainbow, make sure to buff your cardstock after ink blending so the embossing pops! Lastly I added a sentiment from the Spring Roundabout stamp set on to a banner die cut using the Banner Trio Dies.

Would you like to win the “Spring Roundabout” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Spring Bliss Release Sneak Peak Day 2 | Honey Bee Stamps

Good Morning and welcome to day 2 of Sneak Peaks for the Spring Bliss release from Honey Bee Stamps.

Today I’m sharing a card with the new Quatrefoil A2 cover plates – top and base. I love using cover dies, they add dimension to your card and are also an easy way to make a quick card, like I did here!

I started by die cutting both the top and base of the Quatrefoil A2 cover plates from white cardstock. Before stacking them, I used distress oxides (in spun sugar, festive berries, scattered straw, cracked pistachio, tumbled glass, shaded lilac) to create a rainbow background.

To finish of the card, I embossed a sentiment in gold from the Spring Joy Bouquet stamp set on to black cards stock.

Spring Bliss Release Sneak Peak Day 1 | Honey Bee Stamps

Good Morning and welcome to day 1 of Sneak Peaks for the Spring Bliss release from Honey Bee Stamps.

I used the Easter Basket Builder stamp set, along with the coordinating dies to create my card today. Anyone that knows me, knows that I LOVE florals! So of course I chose the florals to add to my basket.

Copic Combos : E37-15-13, RV 21-13, Y13, G21-24, G12-03

I started by stamping the basket and floral bunch from the Easter Basket Builder stamp with brown copic friendly ink, leaving the stamps in my stamp positioner. I colored and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder, and die cut with with the coordinating dies.

Before adding my image to my card base, I dry embossed it using the Basketweave Background Stencil. Finally I added a sentiment with gold embossing on black card stock from the Hoppy Easter stamp set.
