Peacock Slimline Cards | Pretty Pink Posh

Happy Thursday! I’m super excited and kinda nervous as I type this! I can finally share that I’m guest designing with Pretty Pink Posh for the month of July! This is a design spot that I have been dreaming and working towards for over 5 years! Basically as long as I have know the brand, it’s owner Paulina and been using, collecting and hoarding their products! So without anymore delay, here’s my first pair of cards for July using some older stamps that are a favorite!

Two things that I have been loving when making cards recently are slimline cards, yay extra space and ink blending. I am finally using the inks that I gave been hoarding for YEARS!

To make this cards, I started by embossing all the images from the Peacock Friends Stamp Set with gold embossing powder on to Bristol smooth card stock. I colored the images using Zig real brush markers and a wink of stella glitter pen and cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Next I ink blend 3.5 x 8 inch die cuts with blue, green and yellow ink to create an ombre background to match the peacocks and its features.

For the first card, I used a white frame to add some dimension before adding the colored die cuts with some foam tape. I embossed sentiments from the Everyday Greetings stamp set in gold to match the die cuts. And of course I added some jewels!

For the second card, I used some stitched square die cuts from vellum back the colored images as they were blending into the background. I heat embossed a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings stamp set, and finished of with some jewels!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you were inspired to create something! Make sure to tag me @everydayengineered and @prettypinkposh on Instagram so that we can see what you have created!

Happy Crafting!
