Rainbow 2 for 1 card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hey there for the third time today! If this the first post you are seeing on here, then take a minute to check out my BRI Mood Board inspired card for Butterfly Reflections Ink and don’t forget to enter the giveaway for Newton’s Nook Reveal week!

Now for this fun pair of rainbow cards, I love it when I can make multiple cards at the same time using a handful of supplies!

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I love rainbows! To create these cards, I started by inking up an A2 panel of white cardstock. I inked it up using blending brushes and distress oxide inks (picked raspberry, festive berries, ripe persimmon, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, salty ocean, wilted violet). I diecut the rainbow panel using the Whimsical Hearts A2 Cover Plate. I adhered the negative pieces (the hearts) to a white card base, using the positive die cut panel as a guide. For the second card, I adhered the panel to a black card base. I finished off both cards with embossed sentiments from the Pickup Lines stamp set.

Which one is your favorite? I can’t choose!

Happy crafting!

Newton’s Nook Designs January Release – Day 3 – Love Emergency + coordinating die

It’s Day 3 of reveal week at Newton’s Nook Designs. Today we are showcasing the Love Emergency stamp set and coordinating die. This set could not have been timed better for this new boy mom!

I really wanted to let the images be the focal point again, so after coloring (with copic markers) and die cutting all the images from the Love Emergency stamp set, I used some coordinating yellow and red paper to die cut the scallop rectangle from Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set and the frame from Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set. I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment and a few hearts in black ink.

Newton’s Nook Designs January Release – Day 2 – Smitten Kittens + coordinating die and Slimline Masking Stencil Sets

Welcome back for Day 2 of reveal week at Newton’s Nook Designs. Today we are showcasing the Smitten Kittens stamp set and coordinating die, along with Two new Slimline Masking Stencil Sets. Here’s how I was inspired!

I stamped and colored all the little kittens from the Smitten Kittens stamp set using zig real brush markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies. To create the card front, I die cut the scallop rectangle from Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set and used the new Slimline Masking Hearts stencil to ink blend the hearts background using distress inks. I finished off adding the kittens and a sentiment from the same Smitten Kittens stamp set.

Would you like to win the “Smitten Kittens” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Newton’s Nook Designs January Release – Day 1 – Heartfelt Love & Heartfelt Roses Stamp Sets + Heart Frames Dies

Happy Monday! It’s reveal week over at Newton’s Nook Designs and I’m so excited to share a ton of inspiration with you this week! Today we are showcasing the Heartfelt Love & Heartfelt Roses Stamp sets and the Heart Frames die set. Here’s how I was inspired!

For both the cards, I wanted to make sure that the image is the focal point, so I didn’t ‘bling’ it up too much!

For my first card using the Heartfelt Love stamp set, I stamped and colored it using some copic markers, then I die cut it using the largest scallop die from the Heart Frames die set. I backed it with some pattern paper, die cut using the Frame and Flags Die Set. Finally I added my sentiment, embossed on some black cardstock, die cut with the Banner Trio Die Set.

For my second card, I used the Heartfelt Roses stamp set embossed onto some ombre pattern paper, trice. Then I die cut it using the smallest scallop heart from the Heart Frames die set. To create the card front, I die cut some light blue paper using the scallop rectangle from the Frame and Flags Die Set and inked it up to create an ombre effect. I adhered my trio of heart with some foam tape to add dimension. Lastly I embossed a sentiment from the same set.

Would you like to win the “Heartfelt Love” or the “Heartfelt Roses” Stamp Set?We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

Here’s how to win: Comment on the NND blog and Design Team blogs (see list below)! The winner will be chosen at random from the collective reveal posts. Evelin T Designs

Snowball Fight | Evelin T Designs

Happy Friday! For the first time in a long time I have a to do list for today including writing up a bunch of blogpost cause I’ve got a ton of fun stuff to share next week! Stay tuned for lots of cute inspiration! Speaking of cute, how adorable are these little critters from Evelin T Designs!

I colored the two little animals from the Baby, it’s Cold Outside stamp set with Zig Real Brush Markers and fussy cut them. To create the scene, I die cut both the scallop and the stitched rectangle along with the hill from the Slim Card Basics Creative Cuts. I stamped and embossed the entire stitched rectangle with the snowflake image with white embossing powder. Then I ink blended over it using some distress oxide ink in Tumbled Glass. Lastly I smooshed some glue on to the ‘hill’ piece and covered it with chunky glitter after stamping the sentiment from the same stamp set.

To assemble the card, I layered the die cuts, with some foam under the hill to add dimension. Then added the critters along with their snowballs (that I covered with glossy accents after sticking them to the card).

I hope this inspires you to create more thank just holiday card with our winter stamps! This card is part of my #ammismakecards on Instagram, be sure to hop on over and see what my friends have made with me!

Floral Teacup | Joy Clair Designs

3 Day streak on the blog! Say What!! Maybe 2021 is turning around for me! Popping in today with a easy card that I made using images from Joy Clair Designs. I still can’t get over how easy it is to create layered images using digital stamps!

To create the image I layered a teacup from the Coffee Mood Digital Set, with the flower image from You Are Digital Set. After coloring the image using copic markers, I fussy cut it, layered with pattern paper and added the sentiment from Hello There Digital Set, with a little ink blending to help everything blend together for a more complete look.

Thanks for stopping!
Till the next time, stay safe and keep crafting,

Snowy Celebration | Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello there and welcome back to my very neglected blog! I’m going to try and be more regular here this year! Let’s see how successful I am with that goal! I don’t know about you but I’m all about stretching my supplies so of course I couldn’t put away my holiday/winter stamps I didn’t get a chance to use in December, then again it still is winter in January, so I made a winter themed birthday card for my first post over at Newton’s Nook Designs!

I stamped the image using black waterproof ink, and coloring using Zig real brush markers. for the background I heat embossed the little snowflake images onto some gray cardstock, and layered it with a panel embossed with a birthday image and ink blended it to add a little pop of color.

If you know me, then you know that I love creating cards with layers, and also end up using a bunch of sets, listed below:
Newton’s Snowman Stamp Set
Newton’s Snowman Die Set
Snowman Greetings Stamp Set
Birthday Roundabout Stamp Set
Frames & Flags Die Set
Banner Trio Die Set

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and don’t forget to pop by the Newton’s Nook Designs blog for more inspiration!

Joy Clair Designs

DIY Floral Background | Joy Clair Designs

Hi there! Popping in today with a fun and QUICK card! No stamping required! I used a single digital stamp for this stamp! Yup just the one.

I started with the flower image from the You Are digital stamp set from Joy Clair Designs. I resized it and layered it multiple times to create a background. After printing, I trimmed it down to an A2 size and ink blended it using distress oxides to create a pink ombre. To finish off the card, I embossed the sentiment from the Driving By clear stamp onto a diecut banner.
